'Pro-Migration' Groups Intensify Efforts, Spend Big Bucks to Fight Trump's Plan to Secure Border

President-elect Donald Trump. Soon-to-be "border czar" Tom Homan. Soon-to-be secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem. Incoming secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The above people, and others, and the pledges they've made to put an end to the Biden-Harris illegal alien border crisis, beginning on the first day of the incoming administration, strike fear into the hearts of not only untold numbers illegal aliens, but also pro-illegal Democrats and various left-wing groups fighting to import as many illegals as they can get away with.

One such group is headed and financially supported by West Coast billionaire, Laurene Powell Jobs, widow of the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple.

In the aftermath of Trump's decisive election win over Vice President Kamala Harria, Powell Jobs has been expanding her efforts to counter "far-right disinformation campaigns," which she claims drive the general public's opposition to illegal immigration. (More on so-called "disinformation campaigns" in a bit.)

Powell Jobs said in a Tuesday statement by her new group, Catalyze/Citizens (emphasis, mine):

[Immigration Hub ("a national organization dedicated to advancing fair and just immigration policies through strategic leadership and innovative communications")] will expand its scope to counter far-right disinformation campaigns and push for critical policy solutions, including reforms to Section 230 of the [internet-related] Communications Decency Act, to build safer online spaces and AI technology.

Through these efforts, C/C aims to champion and elect pro-immigrant leaders, mobilize uncommon allies, and drive narrative interventions that protect immigrant communities and strengthen democratic values.

Here's more:

Her demand for changes in the Internet law suggests that she would use her social ties in Silicon Valley, her advocacy, and her lawyers to suppress mainstream public criticism of the nation’s wealth-shifting Extraction Migration policies. But that plan would require a new anti-free-speech law from Congress or a remarkable decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The group’s blame-the-narrative campaign echoes the view of many pro-migration groups that Donald Trump won the election by manipulating the voters via distorted media reports. That claim sidelines the evidence that voters recognize the vast economic and civic damage caused by the elite-driven desire for the extraction of many more foreign blue-collar and white-collar workers, renters, and consumers from poor countries.

And there it is.

Narratives are the life-blood of leftism; both narratives they espouse, and so-called narratives they oppose.

The commonality of both can be described by notable quote from the late senator, diplomat, and social scientist, Daniel Patrick Moynihan: “You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.”

Hence, "misinformation" and "disinformation," per the left's definition, are generally comprised of facts and data that disprove the left's various narratives. Powell Jobs and others can talk about "right-wing disinformation" concerning illegal immigration until the proverbial cows come home, yet zero of their narratives change the facts about illegal immigration during last four, disastrous years of the Biden-Harris administration.

'Right-Wing Disinformation'

Translation: FACTS.

  • At least 10 million illegal aliens have streamed into the country during the Biden-Harris administration, while roughly 2.5 million crossed the border during Trump's first administration. "Got-aways" are not included these numbers.
  • More than 13,000 illegal aliens convicted of homicide are living outside immigration detention in the country, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
  • Americans such as Laken Riley, Lizbeth Medina, Jocelyn Nungaray, and Rachel Morin have been brutally killed over the past two years, allegedly at the hands of illegal aliens.

Yet, Powell Jobs and other advocates for illegal immigration blame conservatives for revealing the above facts, and more.

The New York Times reported on Powell Jobs and her efforts during the presidential campaign on November 30:

Ms. Powell Jobs ... controls a fortune worth $11 billion and has an array of interests in which she invests. She took a big swing [against Trump] herself during the election. A top aide of hers circulated polling data to help nudge President Biden out of the race, and Ms. Powell Jobs quietly contributed millions to an organization backing Ms. Harris.

Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies, in the Breitbart News piece linked above, counters the Powell Jobs' claims, saying: "The problem is not their messaging; the problem is the substance of their [pro-migration] policy and its consequences." Krikorian adds:

The administration and its allies in the media and elsewhere had almost complete control over shaping the way people perceive this [migration] phenomenon, and they’ve failed to do that [succesfully] because the reality overwhelmed their ability to dress it up.

There’s only so much you can do through press releases. If community centers are being shut down because they need to be filled with [more] illegal aliens, there’s no narrative that’s going to make that palatable to people

When somebody is released into the United States by the government, is put up in a hotel for free, and then is flown to Atlanta for free, and then goes and murders somebody, there’s no covering that up.

Yet, the left continues to tell us not to believe our lying eyes, in one of the most comprehensive gaslighting efforts in US history.

While the Democrat Party and its media allies have continued to insist that illegal aliens don't take away jobs from Americans, the facts say otherwise. Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanue told Fox News' "Fox & Friends First" in September:

[We are] hard-working people, and we're letting people into this country to not just take jobs away and move us into poverty by paying for these people who are not working, but we also have an unsafe community. We're not strong around the world, and we're losing this country. There's people who have come to this country, risked all for everything, and only to find that it's becoming the land of exploitation.

Unanue wasn't regurgitating a narrative -- one of the the left's favorite tactics --  he was talking about real people in real communities across America, who are losing real jobs to illegal aliens.

I suspect that billionaire Laurene Powell Jobs and other left-wing elites like her are so wrapped up in their bubble world of false narratives that they're unaware of real problems visited on real Americans by millions of illegals. Either that, or they simply don't care.

Now that I think about, I suspect it's the latter -- but what's the difference?

There's a new sheriff coming to town on January 20, 2025, and he's bringing his metaphorical posse with him. That scares the bejesus out the left, but make no mistake: they're only going to increase their efforts to fight against the Trump administration and continue to try to destroy America and we know it.

Period.
