Kamala at the Wheel? CNN Drops Glowing Article About VP 'Taking Charge' of Besieged Biden Campaign

Amid the growing concerns in the Democrat Party following the release of the Hur Report, the realization that Joe Biden's sputtering presidential campaign continues to veer beyond repair is paramount.

As I reported on Monday, even statistician and writer Nate Silver is now calling on the embattled president to "stand down" if he's incapable of running a "normal campaign." Silver included conducting a Super Bowl interview — which Biden refused to do (two years in a row) as an example of normal campaigning.

Clearly, both Biden's cognitive capacity and his dumpster-fire campaign are in a free fall.

But fear not, my Democrat friends, someone with impeccable credentials has reportedly stepped into the breach to "take charge" of the beleaguered campaign. And that "someone," according to a glowing report from CNN, is none other than Vice President Kamala Harris.

Let me know when you've stopped laughing and we'll continue.

Yep, "The Most Trusted Name in News" claims that "two dozen sources" have told the left-wing outlet that Harris "has been gathering information to help her penetrate what she sometimes refers to as the bubble' of Biden campaign thinking, telling people she’s aiming to use that intelligence to push for changes in strategy and tactics that she hopes will put the ticket in better shape to win."

Here's more:

Multiple leading Democrats, anxious about a campaign they fear might be stumbling past a point of no return, say their conversations with Harris have been a surprising and welcome change, after months of feeling sloughed off by the White House and Biden campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.

“The ‘bedwetting’ complaints are running thin with people,” said a person who attended one of the meetings, describing the general state of anxiety circulating in top Democratic circles. “The West Wing and the campaign need to be better.”

Harris did a good job fielding those responses, the person added, “and deserves credit for it.”

You see what's going on here, don't you? Of course, you do.

Both Harris and CNN know full well that Biden's a dead man walking whose walk will end at the Democrat National Convention in August — if not sooner. Thus, CNN is carrying the cackling veep's water even more so than usual in an attempt to prop her up as the logical choice to slide into the top spot after Biden is kicked to the curb.

"Many of those people," CNN claims, "also say that the conversations have shifted their opinions of the vice president, seeing her now as a more integral and complementary part of the reelection effort." The Democrats' network of record then listed several examples of Harris's stellar leadership qualities of late.

Harris’s stepped-up efforts come at a critical moment. Her office has largely stabilized after early years of intense dysfunction, and she has been slowly asserting herself more confidently in public, including in her speech Friday at the Munich Security Conference that was aimed at reassuring Europeans alarmed about a potential Donald Trump return to the White House.

But Republican forces have been capitalizing on her low approval numbers and Joe Biden’s advanced age by making the 2024 campaign more about Harris and the chance she could become president, especially as questions about the president’s mental acuity continue to define his own candidacy.

Just one question: Harris's office has "largely stabilized" into what?

What has Harris accomplished over the last three years? Her job was to lead the White House effort to tackle the illegal alien invasion by working with Central American countries to address the "root causes" of the intentionally created crisis? Please.

Levar Stoney, the mayor of Richmond, Virginia, who attended a meeting of several dozen black men in politics and finance at the Naval Observatory in January, said of Harris:

Folks like seeing the vice president not just playing the role of cheerleader and promoter of the ticket but having deep conversations about how we message and how we win.

Kamala Harris. Deep conversations. I'll just leave that here.

So here's the thing, Mr. Mayor. Even if Harris is capable of engaging in deep conversations, words are cheap — actions matter. I suspect the mayor knows that. And so do tens of millions of disgruntled voters.

The Bottom Line

When your presidential campaign reaches the unplumbed depth that the best option is Kamala Harris riding in on her fictitious white horse to salvage it, you might as well take the L and call it a career.
