One of my favorite parts of the veritable cornucopia of political absurdities is the total inability of politicians, political advisors, and political pundits to realize that half of the country, if not more, not only doesn’t buy what they’re selling but also laughs at their willingness to publicly humiliate themselves.

Let’s call it a complete lack of self-awareness.

On Sunday’s edition of ABC’s This Week, former Democrat National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Donna Brazile laughably claimed — with a straight face, no less — that Joe Biden is the moderate in the 2024 presidential race. No, really. Never mind that Biden, regardless of which puppeteers pull his strings at any given time, is arguably the most radical president in American history.

With respect to the possibility of a third-party candidate — Think: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin — Brazile told This Week host George Stephanopoulos that Democrats have a long history of fending off third-party campaigns.

Well, Democrats have a lot of experience of third-party candidates basically biting at our heels and of course, turning the election over to the Republicans. We saw that with Ralph Nader in 2000. I experienced it personally. I’m no longer crying, and we saw it again in 2016 with Jill Stein. So yeah, there’s, you know, we know this is going to be a close election.

George, regardless of the where the polls stand today, it’s gonna come down to three or four states and likely less than 100,000 people across those states, so yeah. Every vote matters. We have a multiparty system in the United States. I tell that to people all the time. You want a Socialist, a Libertarian, a Reform whatever you want.

So, I don’t see them fueling a vacuum. I see them trying to make an argument that there needs to be a moderate. Well, the moderate is Joe Biden. That’s the moderate in the race. They’re saying there needs to be another choice. Well, we offer plenty of choices in American politics.

Clown World — on steroids.

From Biden’s defense of on-demand, late-term abortion, which he calls an “essential healthcare service,” to his defense of “gender-affirming care,” which can include irreversible double mastectomies, hysterectomies, and castrations — surgically or chemically — to the intentional Biden Border Crisis, calling Joe Biden a “moderate” is tantamount to calling former New Jersey governor and 2024 GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie a Weight Watchers success story. Just keeping it real, sports fans.

Incidentally, Brazile served as the acting chair of the DNC in spring 2011 and again from July 2016 to February 2017. To suggest her tenure as head of the DNC was discredited would not be an overstatement.

As we reported in October 2016, Brazile used her position at CNN — the laughably self-described “Most Trusted Name in News” — to warn then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton about a potentially problematic question she might be asked at a CNN-hosted town hall event. Moreover, Brazile left CNN in 2016 to become head of the DNC for the second time.

You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out that Brazile was in the tank for Hillary. And now, the stand-up comic claims Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., of all people, is a moderate.
