It just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it? That is if you’re the Taliban, al Qaeda, ISIS — now resurfacing in Afghanistan — and the rest of the toxic stew of Islmastist extremism hellbent on forcing — by any barbaric means necessary — the planet back to the 7th-century world of the Kharijites.
However, if you’re hapless Joe Biden or a member of his equally hapless administration, you’re anywhere from dangerously delusional to afraid to tell “the big guy” he’s been catastrophically wrong about the debacle he and he alone created — from his no-plan “plan” to jerk American forces out of Afghanistan, inexplicably abandon Bagram Air Base and its multiple runways (which would have been easily defendable, not to mention come in damn handy right how as “Evacuation HQ”) — to the disaster at the Hamid Karzai airport out the outskirts of Kabul.
But worst of all, Biden violated the most unconscionable military code to violate: U.S. citizens out first — then the military.
And now? Let’s just say it out loud. At least some members of the Biden administration are scared shi concerned. Make that panicked.

As reported by Fox News on Tuesday morning, CIA Director William Burns secretly met with Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar in Kabul on Monday, desperately seeking an extension of the Taliban’s August 31 deadline for all U.S. military personal to leave the country, a senior U.S. official confirmed to Fox.
And there it is. Remaining U.S. citizens be damned.
Think about that for a minute. The United States of America, surrendering, period. To anyone. But to a brutal Islamist terrorist organization that is terrorizing its own citizen — “our Afghan allies” as Biden delusionally called them, Sunday? Good Gawd, man — what the hell?
As Newt Gingrich told Sean Hannity, Monday night, in reference to Biden abandoning Bagram:
“Biden SURRENDERED to the Taliban. Now we’re working off the “surrender process.”
As calls for Biden’s impeachment increase, retired British Colonel Richard Kemp, who served in Afghanistan as commander of British forces, told Fox News host Mark Levin he disagrees. As commander in chief of America’s Armed Forces, Kemp said, Biden should be court-martialed and found guilty of treason.
And the Taliban’s response to “Biden’s Begging”?

As Fox News also reported Tuesday morning, a Taliban official said, leaving no doubt: “No extension.”
And as Fox noted, the Pentagon said in a Monday briefing that it would consider leaving American troops in Afghanistan past Aug. 31, in consultation with Biden and allies, but dismissed the idea of the U.S. military taking back Bagram Airfield to speed up evacuations.
Yeah, well, that ain’t gonna happen. The Taliban said, in effect: “Get the hell out of town like we told you to do, the first time. Buh-bye. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass.
And, Biden? Dismissing the idea of retaking Bagram? Of course, he dismissed the idea. He wouldn’t want to show the Taliban that the U.S. military can still kick ass and is back in town to do just that, if necessary, right? Nah, that would make too much sense — let alone display a shred of a backbone.
This remains a steadily developing story. RedState will provide updates throughout the day.
Meanwhile, yesterday in Biden-Afghanistan news, a Fox News host said what needed to be said, loudly and clearly, that has needed to be said since the early days of the 2020 presidential election campaign — and now, much more urgently:
