It’s “almost” like the truly “woke” among us are engaged in a pitched battle over which of them can come up with the most despicable names to call White Americans — to their faces, even better — for the sole purpose of inflicting as much “White guilt” as possible.
At least for now, “Hunter the Lion” is among the leaders.
Before we dive into the real insanity, let’s first learn a bit about Hunter the Lion, aka: Hunter Ashleigh Shackelford. Here’s how she describes herself on her website:
Hunter Ashleigh Shackelford (she/ they) is a Black fat cultural producer, multidisciplinary artist, nonbinary shapeshifter, hood feminist, and data futurist based in Atlanta, Georgia, with roots in Richmond, Virginia.
She is the creator and director of a Southern body liberation organization, Free Figure Revolution, which focuses on decolonizing antiblack [sic] body violence.
With bylines in Wear Your Voice Magazine, For Harriet, Buzzfeed, and Black Girl Dangerous, Ashleigh illustrates the relationship between Blackness, fatness, desire, queerness, afrotechnology [sic], and popular culture.
Got it? OK, here we go.
As reported by Not the Bee, a video has emerged of Ms. Shackelford teaching a roomful of White people that not only are all White people racist; they will always be racist, or as she so eloquently put it, White people will always be “subhuman-demons.”
How charming is that?

Shackelford’s schtick is founded on “Critical Race Theory,” which I wrote about last week in a piece titled Trump Orders Purge of ‘Critical Race Theory’ From Federal Agencies: What It Is & Why Trump’s Order Matters. CRT is defined as follows.
Critical race theory (CRT), the view that the law and legal institutions are inherently racist and that race itself, instead of being biologically grounded and natural, is a socially constructed concept that is used by white people to further their economic and political interests at the expense of people of color.
According to critical race theory (CRT), racial inequality emerges from the social, economic, and legal differences that white people create between “races” to maintain elite white interests in labour markets and politics, giving rise to poverty and criminality in many minority communities.
Setting aside the above faux intellectualism, Shackelford takes a more “vernacular” approach to teaching White people how “racist” they are.
For example:
- “All white people are racist”
- “You’re always gonna be racist, actually”
- “White people are born into not being human”
- “Y’all are born into a life to not be human”
- “That’s what y’all are taught to do, to be demons”
Notice how people who have just been called racist, sub-human demons simply sit there, as if they’re at a dinner theater?

Did you also see “PayPal Me” directly under “All White People Are Racist”? These people paid to be told they’re sub-human demons.
Lest you think it’s only nut jobs like “Hunter the Lion” running around the country telling White Americans how hopelessly racist they are, as I reported in an early August piece titled Billionaire Oprah Whines About ‘Caste System,’ Tells White People: ‘You Still Have Your ‘Whiteness’, Oprah Winfrey recent did exactly the same thing — albeit it far more genteel and “Oprah-like.”
“There are white people who are not as powerful as the system of white people — the caste system that’s been put in place — but they still, no matter where they are on the rung, or the ladder of success, they still have their whiteness […] (Whites have a) leg up.
You still have your whiteness. That’s what the term ‘white privilege’ is. It means that whiteness still gives you an advantage, no matter. It is the fundamental issue.”
So there it is, White America.
You were born a racist and you’ll always be a racist. As both Hunter the Lion and Oprah Winfrey see it — pick your poison — there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.
