Why Does Creators Allow Connie Schultz to Openly Advertise for Her Husband's Political Contributor?

Promoted from the diaries by Neil

Left wing columnist Connie Schultz has used her weekly column to sing the praises of Planned Parenthood again. I know, big surprise, right? I could have bet you money on Tuesday that when her column came out Wednesday that this would be her topic. Hey, it’s no big surprise. She’s a woman. She’s a liberal. Cecile Richards was in Congress being ever so gently questioned as to why she should keep receiving our taxpayer money to continue funding her baby killing business. So as sure as night follows day, every female columnist in the country is morally required to defend her. Media Matters probably sent out an email to its minions about it. Just another day in the left wing media. Nothing to see here. Move along.

So, what makes Connie Schultz different? Well, for those of you who don’t know it, she is the “lovely wife” (not making fun of her, it’s the title of her book) of Democratic [mc_name name=’Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’B000944′ ] from Ohio. And why should we care about that? Because he was on the list of top 25 recipients of Planned Parenthood Campaign cash as published by The Blaze this week: http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2015/09/18/top-25-recipients-of-planned-parenthood-campaign-cash/ (He’s #12 to be exact.). Anyone have a problem with that? Here’s a Pulitzer Prize winning columnist writing a glowing defense of a baby murdering organization that takes your tax dollars without even bothering to put a disclaimer at the end disclosing that they donated money to her husband’s campaign. Don’t get me wrong. I’m quite certain Ms. Schultz would be just as vocal in her defense of PP if she had never MET Sherrod Brown. But a few years ago, while covering a story for the Cleveland Plain’s Dealer, she stopped to record a campaign speech by her husband’s opponent in the Senate race and it didn’t occur to her until AFTER there was a complaint that it might be a “conflict of interest.” She subsequently resigned from the paper, but her column continues to be published by Creators.

These people have quite the racket going, don’t they? Planned Parenthood gets our tax money, donates it to Democrats, who vote to give PP more of our tax money, and they are defended by the liberal press, some of whom are married to the Democratic politicians getting the PP campaign cash.!

Do you think there is a newspaper in the country that would hire Mrs. [mc_name name=’Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’C001098′ ] or Mrs. Donald Trump? George Will has been covering the political scene for years, but every column he has written for this current campaign he has included a disclaimer at the end stating that his wife works for Scott Walker (or at least he did until Walker dropped out.)

I would suggest at the very least that Ms. Schultz do the same. That way we’re crystal clear that she has an agenda.
