Two Genocidal Jihadist Armies Merge in the Cowardice of Silence

The “Islamic State Africa.”  Not the words anyone wanted to hear, but it should come as no surprise.

The most barbarically brutal jihadist army in Africa, Boko Haram, has joined with the most heinous jihadist army in the Middle East, ISIS – the Islamic State.

Boko Haram, as we have long warned, is every bit as horrific in its atrocities as ISIS. It has slaughtered thousands of Christians, destroyed Christian villages, and gunned down worshipers.

In one instance Boko Haram lured Christians to a fake Church service, posing as preachers, and then massacred their unsuspecting victims.  It has targeted the youngest members of society – killing young boys and kidnapping young girls to be sold into sex slavery.

Now Boko Haram has pledged its full allegiance to ISIS and the leader of its self-proclaimed Caliphate, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

ISIS is now, unquestionably, the largest, most deadly, terrorist army on the planet.  Together, ISIS and Boko Haram are committing the largest genocide against Christians in the world today.

ISIS’s reign of terror has now spread its jihadist tentacles throughout Iraq, Syria, Libya, (even Egypt with the recent beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians) and into Nigeria, Chad, and Niger.

Its military might is expanding, its territory is enlarging, its power is growing, its barbarity is increasing, and its deadly resolve to slaughter Christians is entrenching.

Yet the Obama Administration continues to downplay this ominous threat.  As it does, more Christians die every day.

It’s time for America to acknowledge and confront this threat head on.

Wednesday, ACLJ Chief Counsel (and New York Times bestselling author of the book Rise of ISIS: A Threat We Can’t Ignore) is testifying before the U.S. Senate about the ongoing genocide of Christians at the hands of ISIS and the persecution of Christians by jihadist regimes.

Already over 150,000 Americans in less than a week have signed on to our Petition to Protect Persecuted Christians (you can add your name at BeHeardProject.com).

The American people see the threat.  We see our brothers and sisters in Christ being slaughtered, and we want action.  We want America to stop sending our tax dollars to regimes that persecute Christians and to stop treating jihadist armies like “a JV team”.

Every day we ignore this threat, we succumb to the cowardice of silence.
