Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy turned the tables on reporters who were asking about what they and President Donald Trump could do to ease the pain of the Schumer Shutdown, giving a pass to Democrats who are actually the ones behind the closure of the government.
Speaking to members of the White House Press Corps outside the White House on Thursday, Duffy became very animated when he was asked over and over again what they were doing to make the shutdown easier for people.

"So, we are doing all we can to work with our partners to keep things running smoothly, but in the end, we can only go so far," Duffy said. "I love that you guys are asking these questions about what we can do to make this less painful, but there is an easy, painless solution: pass the Clean CR [Clean Resolution]."
"I mean, I was part of some shutdowns myself in Congress, and the tone of the press corps is very, very different in this one," he added. "You were rabid against Republicans who voted not to open the government up. And it seems like everyone's so docile. And so, what is the president going to do to alleviate the pain?"
Duffy compared the difference between how Trump is handling the shutdown versus how former President Barack Obama did when he shut down the National Parks, memorials, and museums.
Trump has kept the memorials and museums open after Democrats shut everything down.
"We didn't close those down. This administration is doing everything it can to alleviate the pain on American people," Duffy explained. "Again, it's an easy, easy answer. Go ask the Democrats that question. Say 'What are you going to do to make sure that people receive SNAP benefits this Saturday?'"

Vice President JD Vance then stepped out and laid out the big picture of why they can't negotiate with Democrats who have taken the American people hostage.
.@VP: "Let's sit down and come to a compromise.. you know what the Democrats response to that is: Give us everything we want or we are going to shut down the government...that is how a CHILD behaves." pic.twitter.com/11oLElXsK3

"Let's sit down and come to a compromise and work it out," Vance said. "And you know what the Democrats' response to that is, 'Give us everything we want or we are going to shut down the government and keep it shut down.' That is not reasonable behavior…that is the way that the Democrats have operated."
"They are trying to take a hostage and we can't reward that behavior," he added. "If we do that. If we say yes, of course, we will give you everything you want if you reopen the government. You know what's going to happen? In three months, they are going to come back to the administration, and they are going to say, 'We're going to shut down the aviation industry. We're going to deny people's SNAP benefits unless you give us exactly what we want. That's how a child behaves."
Also, at the presser was the Teamsters Union President Sean O'Brien, who called on Democrats to pass the Clean CR and open the government.

Thursday marks the day 30 of the Schumer Shutdown, which frankly, looks like it has no end in sight as long as the Democratic Party is being led by the radical left.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
