Democrat Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer called on Americans to "lower the temperature of rhetoric" after the fatal church shooting and fire at the LDS church in Grand Blanc on Sunday, which has now claimed the lives of five people.
During a press conference on Monday, Grand Blanc Police Chief William Renye said the shooting and fire at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel was "Evil. This was an evil act of violence."

"This left five people dead," Renye said. "Eight people injured. As I said, this is an evil act, and it does not define Grand Blanc or who we are. At this time, what we know is everyone has been accounted for."
"We still are in the process of clearing out that church," he added. "But at this time, everyone is accounted for."

Whitmer then spoke to the motive in the deadly shooting and said we all have questions about how and why this could happen after the suspect, who has been identified as 40-year-old Thomas "Jake" Sanford of nearby Burton, Michigan, drove his vehicle through the church front doors and then exited it, firing upon those inside the church, before setting the church a blaze.
NEW: Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, calls on Americans to "lower the temperature of rhetoric" as authorities search for a motive in the deadly Michigan church shooting.

She then seemed to take a slightly different tone than the police chief, who rightly called the shooting evil.
But I want to caution everyone, while we are working hard, while the good men and women who are working hard are doing so with due diligence. At this juncture, speculation is unhelpful and it can be downright dangerous.
So, [I] just ask that people lower the temperature of rhetoric. Keep your loved ones close, and keep this community close to your hearts. Let's keep doing the work together. Let's be kind and let's love our neighbors.
However, the Democrat governor only gets this half right when she called on all people to "lower the temperature of rhetoric" and failed to call out the party she belongs to, which seems hell bent on continuing to ramp things up after not one but two assasination attempts against President Donald Trump and the murder of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk on September 10 while he was speaking with college kids on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Authorities say the suspected killer, who had a trans-identifying male boyfriend, was influenced by leftist ideology.
Instead of generalizing her call to all Americans, Whitmer should've turned the focus on the radical leftists in her party. After all, she is a member of the group that has spent the last eight years labeling Trump a "Nazi" and his supporters "fascists." This is the party whose members have celebrated the assassination of Kirk and or provided a rationalization/justification for it with lies about him and what he's said in the past. Not to mention the fatal shooting by an anti-ICE suspect at the ICE facility in Texas and the killing of kids attending Catholic mass by a trans-identifying male.
I mean, we will give Whitmer credit for recognizing things have gotten out of control, but she failed to go as far as fellow Senator John Fetterman (D-PA), who said he refuses to use the unhinged, violent rhetoric to label members of the other side of the aisle, as my RedState colleague Ward Clark reported.

Clark's report read:
Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., said he won't "be that guy" labeling opponents "Nazis or fascists," all while ruling out a party switch during this week's "Sunday Morning Futures."
"I'm not going to switch. I'm just going to be an independent voice in the Democratic Party. I'm not going to be afraid of people," he told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo.
"And if there are groups attacking a Democrat, the last one in Pennsylvania, then that's part of the problem in our party. And if you want a Democrat that's going to call people Nazis or fascists or all these kinds of things, well, I am not going to be that guy … I happen to believe the truth, regardless if it's the Republican or the Democratic voice."
Sorry, but this is not a "both sides" issue. If the Democrats refuse to stop, it will be safe to assume the party is fine with all this death and evil.
Editor’s Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
