Seems Hillary’s Supporters Have Their Own Idea How To Fix The Electoral College.

And by “FIX” I don’t mean repair.

According to reports out of Idaho and elsewhere, Clinton supporters have obtained Electoral College voters’ personal information and are harassing them with calls, Facebook messages, emails and even home visits, encouraging them to become “faithless electors,” and change their Trump votes to Clinton votes.

And they aren’t being kind about it: “A lot of ’em use bad, rough language,” said Layne Bangerter, one of Idaho’s electors. “Nothing I feel intimidated over. But we’re watching it very closely. They’ve got our home phone numbers, our cell numbers, our emails, our Facebook. We’re just getting an orchestrated barrage from the left.”

“They attack my religion, they attack my politics, they tell me that I must be a terrible father, I must be a terrible American, they use foul language — every swear word,” Bangerter said.Another of Idaho’s electors told local media that the calls — some of them pre-recorded — were coming from across the country, from California, Massachusetts, Oregon, and New York, among other states.

Really ? Coordinated harassment of electors ? Just when did we become a country where this is acceptable ?

Howard Dean Is Comparing The Election To Kent State Shootings

Former Vermont Governor and DNC head Howard Dean said on Wednesday that the election of Donald Trump ought to serve as a formative event in the lives of young people, akin to violent events like the Kent State massacre and Bloody Sunday.

“This young generation, which I think is absolutely great, is used to doing everything on the Internet,” Dean said in an interview with SiriusXM host Joe Madison. “They don’t really like institutions, they don’t need institutions. If they want a change, they go on the Internet, find half million people who agree with them, they insist on the change and they usually get it.”

I never understood the reaction to his YEEEHAH scream, but if hadn’t of screamed this would be enough to say he shouldn’t be near the levers of power. Elections are something this country is still doing right, and a validation of our fundamental beliefs. To compare the election to Kent State, well it’s not the words of a man who should be taken seriously in any capacity.

What If The Navy Built A Ship Whose Guns Were Too Expensive To Shoot ?

Say hello to the Zumwalt class

Just three weeks after commissioning the USS Zumwalt, the U.S. Navy has admitted it is canceling ammunition specially developed for the ship’s high-tech gun systems because the rounds are too expensive. The guns, tailor made for the destroyer, will be unable to fire until the Navy chooses a cheaper replacement round.

Now the U.S. Navy is admitting that the LRLAP round is too expensive to actually purchase, leaving the nearly $4 billion dollar destroyer’s guns high and dry.

According to Defense News, the LRLAP round costs $800,000—or more—each, making the rounds prohibitively expensive. The Navy blames the rise in cost on the fact that the Zumwalt class went from a planned 32 ships to just 3, drastically cutting the number of LRLAP rounds it was going to purchase.

A May report by US Naval Institute News estimated each LRLAP round to cost between $400,000 to $700,000. For context, the smaller Mk. 45 5-inch gun, standard on Navy destroyers and cruisers, fires an unguided round with a range of 21 miles. Each round costs between $1,600 and $2,200.

The U.S. can fight and win against any other country on the earth, it would be nice if we could at least win an occasional battle against waste and cronyism here at home.

Quote of the Day

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.

John Adams
