MSU police are confirming for the first time that there are victims, but they are being transported to a nearby hospital. Multiple buildings on campus have been secured and cleared as law enforcement continues their search for the suspect, who is described as a “short male with a mask, possibly Black.”

Police are currently securing the location of a second shooting incident on Michigan State University’s campus, but students are still being asked to shelter in place at this time.

Currently, law enforcement believes there is only one suspect responsible for the incidents on campus.

On Monday evening, students at Michigan State University were ordered to shelter in place after shots were fired on the school’s campus.

Campus police altered the students to the situation immediately.

MSU police reported via alert systems and social media that the alleged shooter was on foot. A second shooting was reported less than an hour later.
