Amid the vulgar tape scandal and the various other stories coming out about Donald Trump, several news organizations are now reporting that Donald Trump is in full damage control mode, calling outlets and telling them the campaign will work past this and that he’s not quitting. The Washington Post and Wall Street Journal appear to be among the first outlets he reached out to.

The AP has also send out an alert as a breaking news item saying Trump will remain in the race.

The question on everyone’s mind then is (or maybe should be): Why not?
