Planned Parenthood gets taxpayer money in order to provide its services. A series of videos has come out showing those services apparently involve selling the parts of dead babies for profit. The excess money gets rolled into a direct mail campaign attacking a number of the Republican candidates for president. [mc_name name=’Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’M000355′ ] had the chance to cut public funding from the abortion provider or force the Democrats to kill a tax-and-spend highway bill over it. He chose to kill all chances of that, but allow a doomed show vote to hit the Senate floor. It, predictably, died and Failure Theater won the day again.

McConnell is so beholden to the liberal interests of Washington D.C. that he couldn’t put up a principled fight over the murder of babies and the selling of their body parts when the party needed it. If you want to explain why Donald Trump is a thing we are allowing in the 2016 election, look no further than the impotent turtle who calls himself the Senate Majority Leader.

Any spending that Planned Parenthood does against Republicans and Republican interests is the fault of [mc_name name=’Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’M000355′ ], who had the chance to do some good for his party and his base. However, he chose to deliver blood money to K Street time and again, and the party, country, and our very culture suffer. The very best part of all this? He’ll smile to himself and nod, thinking he did a good thing by standing with K Street over Main Street. Screw conservatives, so long as he gets power and respect in Washington.
