An administration concerned with optics decides to out the top secret nuclear program of an ally.

In a development that has largely been missed by mainstream media, the Pentagon early last month quietly declassified a Department of Defense top-secret document detailing Israel’s nuclear program, a highly covert topic that Israel has never formally announced to avoid a regional nuclear arms race, and which the US until now has respected by remaining silent.

But by publishing the declassified document from 1987, the US reportedly breached the silent agreement to keep quiet on Israel’s nuclear powers for the first time ever, detailing the nuclear program in great depth.

Tensions between Israel and the U.S. are high because of Obama’s unrelenting hostility toward Israel, and verbal barbs have been tossed around for years. Then, Netanyahu spoke to Congress. Then, Israel revealed information about the Obama Administration’s talks with Iran to Congress. So, how does this mature, grown-up of a president respond? He reveals the type of information that empowers, emboldens, and enables ours and Israel’s enemies to begin a nuclear arms race.

This kind of behavior is why the Middle East is covered in blood and flames. This administration has done nothing to actually curb the growth of hostile forces, but has enabled them every step of the way. This action, however, takes the cake not because it is a top secret nuclear program that we agreed to keep a secret (to be fair, it was a poorly-kept secret, considering it was a widely held belief that Israel had a program), but because it describes, in great detail, exactly what Israel has, which verifies to hostile nations that Israel is a threat that must be dealt with more quickly than ever before. The President of the United States could be responsible for an international conflict that could do irreparable harm to what was one of our closest allies.

The worst part of all this is that the United States will get a new president in just over a year, and one that will more than likely not be as hostile to Israel than Barack Obama. But Obama’s election and re-election show Israel just how rapidly things can change within American government, and it damages America’s reputation as a loyal ally not only to Israel, but to the world. Ironically, it is the Obama administration that firmly believes that [mc_name name=’Rep. Tom Cotton (R-AR)’ chamber=’house’ mcid=’C001095′ ]’s letter hurts our reputation, but they don’t see anything wrong with putting an actual ally at severe risk.

And how do we know this is hostile? The report contained technological assessments of several nations. All but Israel appeared to have been blacked out.

Another highly suspicious aspect of the document is that while the Pentagon saw fit to declassify sections on Israel’s sensitive nuclear program, it kept sections on Italy, France, West Germany and other NATO countries classified, with those sections blocked out in the document.

The 386-page report entitled “Critical Technological Assessment in Israel and NATO Nations” gives a detailed description of how Israel advanced its military technology and developed its nuclear infrastructure and research in the 1970s and 1980s.

Make no mistake. This is a deeply hostile action from a petulant manchild of a president who can’t get over being embarrassed by Israel three times in the span of a month: Netanyahu’s speech, Israel’s intelligence on the Iran talks, and Netanyahu beating Obama advisers in his re-election.
