U.N. Predicts (Again) a 'Climate Time-Bomb Is Ticking’ - This Time, They Mean It

Climate activists demonstrate in Paris, Saturday, Dec.12, 2015 during the COP21, the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Several environmental and human rights groups are planning protests around Paris to call attention to populations threatened by man-made global warming and urge an end to human use of oil, gas and coal. Tick, Tick, Tick…

If you haven’t heard this yet, you need to change your ways. The planet is about to melt. Literally. Seriously – melt. There is no planet B. All life on earth is about to end unless you — yes, including you people buried in 20 feet of snow — stop heating your house. The world is literally 10 years from tipping over the tipping point of all tipping points we’ve tipped over. Heed Al Gore. Listen to the talking Easter Island statue. Obey. Stop using fossil fuels.

In April of 2022, the Los Angeles Times featured a front-page article warning me and the rest of the state that we would have another dry winter. Super dry. The Times warned:

A warm, dry winter is in store for much of California as La Niña conditions are slated to persist through at least January, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The agency’s U.S. winter outlook, released this week, spells trouble for the drought-dried state as it enters what is typically its wettest season, when rainfall and Sierra snowpack help replenish water supplies that carry it through the rest of the year.

I received written notices warning my wife and me not to water our lawn. We were allowed to water only on Tuesdays. Get used to it, California, we are in for another dry winter. Then the rains started. The rain hasn’t stopped. The state is caked in snow.

The UN’s favorite perpetual child, Greta Thunberg, deleted a 2018 tweet recently. Five years ago, Greta, then an actual child, linked an article citing “scientists” who warned the earth must stop using fossil fuels in the next five years, or we are doomed.

I’m not a mathematician but I can add. 2018 + 5 is: 2023. The New York Post cited Greta’s deletion and mocked her. AP “fact-checkers” rode in to rescue Greta. The Post’s mocking article “lacks context,” AP claimed. Oh, ok, AP…

In July 2022, I wrote about dire warnings of imminent doom and tipping points. There are lots of tipping points we’ve tipped over.

Greta Thunberg has warned us that we are on the brink of the abyss. We “stole her dreams and her childhood.” She’s an adult now, so I don’t feel bad. I can’t give it back, Greta. Hashtag, “not sorry.” AOC famously told us, the world be a goner by 2031. Nine years left. Better make out your will. Never mind, there won’t be anyone left to give it to. In 1989, UN environmental scientists said that “entire nations would be wiped off the face of the planet” if we didn’t do something about “global warming.”

“Just a bit outside,” climate guys.

I also cited a Politico article in which they warned us about climate change. It’s not global warming now. It used to be — now it’s climate change per the Book ‘o Doom editors. The Politico author warned, again, of dire consequences. We must stop doing what we are doing or doom is the result.  An emissions claim wasn’t backed with data but meh, who needs data? Right? According to the EPA’s own website, emissions have been on a downward trend for several years. I wrote:

How the author gathered that data faster than Gavin Newsom could get a reservation at French Laundry is a mystery.

It remains a mystery. That was in 2022. We are now in 2023. The West, which we were confidently told by our betters, would suffer through another winter of little rain and sparse snow, has, in fact, seen record snowfall and constant rain.

So here we are. Again. The UN has issued another report on Climate Change. Again. Short version: We are all gonna die! CNN breathlessly reports:

Despite the International Energy Agency saying in 2021 that there can now be no new fossil fuel developments if the world is to meet climate commitments, governments are continuing to approve oil, gas and coal projects.

The Biden administration has just greenlit the hugely controversial Willow oil drilling project in Alaska. Once operational, it is projected to produce enough oil to release 9.2 million metric tons of planet-warming carbon pollution a year – equivalent to adding 2 million gas-powered cars to the roads.

If you think you’ve read this book, or seen the movie before — you have. Over the past 50 years, we have been confidently told that the world is ending unless we stop using fossil fuels. The New York Post took us back in time to several of the climate yellers’ greatest hits.

In 1972, the UN told us we were headed to a climate catastrophe.

In 1982, the UN told us we were headed to a climate catastrophe.

In 1989, the UN told us we were headed to a climate catastrophe.

As I write, I am looking out at my dead lawn as it is being soaked with water again. Water coming from the sky that I was told a year ago, was not going to come.

Yes I know, “That’s ‘weather,’ dummy, not climate.” But that’s only the mantra when it doesn’t suit the agenda. Climate clowns like CNN’s Bill Weir will watch a hurricane and confidently tell you that that (whatever weather event he sees) is the harbinger of doom. Believe them, even when they are consistently wrong.

We are in a Climate Crisis! Oh, didn’t you hear? They changed the title again. Global Warming wasn’t working so now, it’s a Climate Crisis.

Whatever it is, rest assured, “WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE!” Well, that’s about the only prediction they got right.

Heed the warnings. This time, they mean it. We’re tipping over the edge, again.
