What Do Governors Really Think of Gavin Newsom and Andrew Cuomo? NH Gov Chris Sununu Spills the Tea

Townhall media

During a fireside chat at the Reagan Foundation Institute in Washington, DC on Thursday evening, New Hampshire's Republican governor, Chris Sununu, spilled some tea about what other governors - both Republican and Democrat - really think about the Democrat party's leading ladies' men, Andrew Cuomo and Gavin Newsom, and boy is it nice to see Newsom getting a taste of his own trolling.

Reagan Foundation Institute President Frederick Ryan asked Sununu how governors can play a bigger role in leading the public to a more civil political climate and discourse. Sununu replied:

Lead by example. Almost all the governors get along. In my eight years I can honestly tell you there's literally been two, maybe a third but two real governors that really nobody liked, nobody cared for at all.

Ryan then asked Snunu if he'd name names, and after saying, "Do you really want me to?" Sununu spit it out:

[Former New York Gov.] Andrew Cuomo. Compete jackass. No one likes him. And I gotta be honest, no one cares for Gavin [Newsom]. Gavin's just a prick. Excuse me. He just is. It's really disappointing. I got along with him -- all of us got along with him for a while. But even the Democrats, they won't tell you out loud, but behind closed doors they're like, "Oh God, look who's coming," and they all roll their eyes.

National Democrats aren't the only ones who feel that way; even in California there are plenty of Democrats in elected office who loathe the man. They just can't say it out loud.

Will Newsom return fire against Sununu or continue his obsessive attacks on people like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott? I'm leaning toward continuing his obsessive attacks on people like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott.
