It’s now exceedingly clear that there are three core arguments the Democrats will use to deflect from any true investigation into allegations of corruption and undisclosed relationships with foreign governments by Hunter Biden:
- Leave him alone, he’s a private citizen!
- Beau Biden
- He had a drug problem after losing his brother and needs support!
At a break the transcribed interview of Devon Archer, Hunter’s former business partner, Goldman admitted that Hunter put Joe Biden on speakerphone during business meetings at least 20 times, but claimed it was only about the weather or “niceties” and had nothing to do with business.
After the interview’s conclusion Goldman again ran to the cameras to up his spin game and invoke the name of Beau Biden.
The first unbelievable spin from Goldman is that the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, which Joe Biden brags about having caused, “wasn’t desired by Burisma” and could be detrimental to the company.
Goldman: The witness stated unequivocally that there is no evidence in his possession or his knowledge that Joe Biden ever discussed business with Hunter Biden… pic.twitter.com/P90iRFaigi

Goldman said:
It was abundantly clear that…there was no evidence in his possession or his knowledge that Joe Biden ever discussed business with Hunter Biden, Joe Biden ever did anything on behalf of Hunter Biden’s business interests or otherwise, never changed official policy in any way, shape, or form. And, in fact, the only evidence we have is to the contrary, which is that even though it was perceived by Burisma that they had the prosecutor Shokin under control, quote/unquote, that Joe Biden advocated for his firing, which of course was not coveted or desired by Burisma and would potentially be bad for Burisma.
Knowing that Republicans will bring up the 20 phone calls Archer testified about, Goldman had a new spin on that in addition to the whole “niceties” and “weather” topics of discussion we reported on earlier.
Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman: "There were approximately 20 occasions … that Hunter Biden would ask his father to say hello to whomever he was at dinner" — "some times when it was friends and some times when it was potential business partners." pic.twitter.com/gR3Y51UH7X

Goldman said:
And I want to be very clear about one thing. He did describe that there were approximately 20 occasions over the course of their nearly decade-long business relationship where, when one of them called the other, that Hunter Biden would ask his father to say hello to whomever he was at dinner with.
And I think it’s really important to remember that during this time period that we’re talking about here, Beau Biden, Hunter Biden’s brother and President Biden’s son, became very ill with cancer and died. That was in the spring of 2015. And the witness described in vivid detail about how devastating that was to both Hunter Biden and to Joe Biden and how their communications picked up dramatically in the aftermath, because Joe Biden was calling his son to check on him, and Hunter Biden was calling his dad to check on him. It had nothing to do with business, and that is the sum and substance of what the testimony was.
Goldman ended with a rant about the “fishing expedition” the Republicans have been on, that it’s clear there isn’t any evidence and they’re just pestering this poor private citizen. But the problem with Goldman’s assertion is that we have text messages between Hunter and Joe throughout this time that don’t really support that assertion.
