On the heels of Mother's Day, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched a new web portal: Moms.gov. This integrated website is for new, expecting, and established moms, providing information, resources, and guidance to assist mothers and fathers in helping their babies and families survive and thrive. This, in turn, enhances the thriving of the American family.
Moms.gov also supports expecting parents who are navigating difficult or unexpected pregnancies. It features information about pregnancy centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers, nutritional guidance, Trump Accounts, and other resources that allow maternal and infant health to thrive.

On Monday, President Donald Trump was joined by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Assistant Secretary at the Administration for Children and Families Dr. Alex Adams, Dr. Dorothy Fink, HHS Deputy Assistant Secretary for Women's Health, Olivia Walton, CEO of Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies America (HMHBA), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Dr. Mehmet Oz, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, and Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) to announce Moms.gov, along with other initiatives to enhance and encourage family formation. Some of these include expanded access to fertility care, new federal guidance to encourage employers to provide benefits for in vitro fertilization (IVF), and additional childcare reforms that increase access and affordability, expand provider choice, and empower stay-at-home parents.
HHS Secretary Kennedy spoke to how these initiatives are not only a boon to the pro-life movement but also to the MAHA movement overall.

Kennedy said in the press release:
"This Mother's Day, the Trump Administration is strengthening its commitment to America's families by equipping mothers and fathers with the resources and information they need to build healthy, prosperous lives," said HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. "Moms.gov delivers critical tools and support to help parents foster healthy pregnancies, strengthen young families, and create brighter futures for their children. This is how you Make America Healthy Again."
Moms.gov is integrated with the previously released administration sites: TrumpRx.gov and the Trump Baby Accounts for American kids. Some of the resources offered on the site include:
- Support Services and Health Centers (Pregnancy Centers and FQHCs)
- Nutrition quick facts for mothers based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans
- Trump Accounts
- Trump Rx
- Resources for women and parents
- Preconception health
- Breastfeeding
- Mental health

This is quite a comprehensive approach, as mothering covers so many aspects of life, as well as bringing new and unexpected challenges. HHS Deputy Assistant Secretary Fink spoke to the " why" of this comprehensiveness.
"On Mother's Day, we recognize that the health of mothers and the health of women are deeply connected" said Deputy Assistant Secretary for Women's Health Dorothy Fink, MD. "Through our Perinatal Improvement Collaborative [PDF], we have reduced maternal mortality by 41.5%. We remain committed to supporting women's health throughout motherhood and at every stage of life,"
Alabama Sen. Katie Britt also spoke to the comprehensiveness of the Trump administration's approach to addressing maternal mortality, IVF, and the aims of Moms.gov.
Britt said, in part:
When you look at the comprehensive nature of what we're doing today, and coming on the heels of Mother's Day, I mean, we are thrilled to support mothers everywhere.
[...]
Moms are the heartbeats of our families, our communities and our country. President Trump knows that, and he's made sure we've created a comprehensive culture of life. That's what you are seeing right now with Moms.gov.

What is innovative about Moms.gov is that it is not merely a new government program or another bureaucratic loop. It's a resource hub which links to essential services already available in local communities. For example, pregnancy resource centers do more to help women through unexpected pregnancies, and they are known for their support of the mother and child through the course of their lives, not just up to birth. Moms.gov provides access to these centers, allowing anyone to use their address or zip code to search for centers nearest to them. In terms of low-cost medical services (i.e., centers that offer a sliding scale or take Medicaid), the site connects to HHS' Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Data Warehouse, which provides maps, data, reports, and dashboards about HRSA’s healthcare programs.
This is yet another arm of the Trump affordability agenda, which seeks to put American families first. Because the stronger the families, the stronger the nation.
