According to Newsweek, President Joe Biden's Thursday night State of the Union address was one hour and eight minutes long. It felt like 108 hours. Those are IQ points and cochlea damage I'll never get back. But if you look at Democrat and Leftist on the social media platform X, Biden wasn't "loud," or "angry," he was, "vigorous," and "forceful."
Sure, Jan.
I guess the White House has disseminated their talking point. “Forceful” will be the word you hear all over left wing media tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/GtenJo4Ekz

California Governor Gavin "Hair Gel" Newsom did his usual sycophant song and dance, while still promoting and plotting how he can replace Biden on the ticket.
We need a national ban on assault weapons.
— Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) March 8, 2024
We need universal background checks.
We also need to raise the age to purchase a gun to 21 and have a standard waiting period.@POTUS is right.
It’s why we need to pass a Constitutional Amendment to get this done.
Time to enact a…
Praising the president while laying out your own national aims? Smooth move.
In case you didn't get it the first time, the Democrat media complex wants you to know that Biden's speech was "Fiery," and his delivery was "Forceful." Yeah.
Analysis: Sleepy Joe Biden woke up for the State of the Union.
— Elex Michaelson (@Elex_Michaelson) March 8, 2024
It was his most energized and forceful performance in years.
Did it change your opinion of him at all? pic.twitter.com/H1FzpTqafa

Joe Biden is giving a helluva forceful speech.
— Sam Cornale (@samcornale) March 8, 2024
Dark Brandon just killed Truth Social (shit broke; too funny).
Then came the Democrat politicians. Not everyone could get a selfie with Biden, so they gave him a virtual tongue bath instead. Milwaukee Democrat mayor Cavalier Johnson (who might want to consider a name change) led the way.
President @JoeBiden delivered a forceful #SOTU address and reminded us of what’s possible in America and, what’s at stake in November.
— Cavalier Johnson (@CavalierJohnson) March 8, 2024
I saw a leader who stands up for what he believes in, knows the challenges facing our country, and is more than ready to finish the job.
New York's former mayor Bill deBolshevik de Blasio also weighed in. Does anyone care?
I’m loving the gameplan @JoeBiden is using tonight!
— Bill de Blasio (@BilldeBlasio) March 8, 2024
A clear, strong, unapologetic message. A really forceful delivery.@POTUS is on fire!
This is exactly what we needed.#StateOfTheUnion
And the always shilling, lucky name club member, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Janice Hahn.
President Biden met the moment tonight. That was a great State of the Union address.
— Janice Hahn (@SupJaniceHahn) March 8, 2024
America is strong and his agenda will only make us stronger.
There was also much praise for how Biden disputed the questions and concerns about his age. Mmmkay.
President Joe Biden laid out his vision for America in an energetic, passionate, and forceful vision for America and crushed concerns about his age.https://t.co/je4IVoFOYh
— Sarah Reese Jones (@PoliticusSarah) March 8, 2024
Don't ever underestimate Joe Biden! With age comes wisdom. With age comes increased knowledge. All of it was on display for America tonight! He was sharp as a tack, giving the GOP and SCOTUS a forceful "gut punch"!

Even NeverTrump Republican and "influential WSJ columnist" Peggy Noonan gave Biden a pat on the back. Geriatric game knows Geriatric game, I guess.
Peggy Noonan, Reagan’s former speechwriter now influential WSJ columnist, once called Joe #Biden a vulnerable old man, but was impressed by his State of the Union forceful address before Congress pic.twitter.com/Q1BmagEmBH

Since we've moved slightly away from the Left into Republican territory, another NeverTrump critic weighed in and actually dared to say that the emperor had no clothes. <*clutch the pearls*> Joe Walsh better calm down or people might think he's back to supporting Trump!
So, I’ll just throw this out there: Yes, he’s demonstrating vim and vigor, but, damn…all he’s doing is yelling. He’s yelling way too much.
— Joe Walsh (@WalshFreedom) March 8, 2024
Go ahead and pound me for this take.
But actual Republican and conservative viewers and voters agreed with Walsh.
~Well....I'm a Republican voter and I wasn't confused at all. I always commend and appreciate your reporting and I still do, but, respectfully, I saw the same yelling, angry Joe Biden I see VERY often when he speaks, this wasn't forceful at all, IMO, it was rushed, irritated…

Well....I'm a Republican voter and I wasn't confused at all. I always commend and appreciate your reporting and I still do, but, respectfully, I saw the same yelling, angry Joe Biden I see VERY often when he speaks, this wasn't forceful at all, IMO, it was rushed, irritated shouting. Yes, he also often appears to be stumbling and stammering & very, very weak, but the anger and yelling is par for the course, too. I'm not a bit confused...same ole Joe. My opinion?...Not getting my vote. Never will.
And the nonpartisan and right-of-center media were rightly appalled. Journalist and CEO of Just the News John Solomon has worked for many a legacy media outlet over his decades-long career, and he had this to say:
I’ve covered three plus decades of State of Union addresses as a journalist. This wasn’t a SOTU, it was a campaign speech that neglected a vision for America in favor of selling a division of America for political gain. https://t.co/PTArkRiJNr
— John Solomon (@jsolomonReports) March 8, 2024
1819 News' Editor-in-Chief Jeff Poor shot straight from the hip.
We just sat through an adderall-induced hour-and-nine-minute tirade from Biden and some of you guys are griping about Katie Britt's delivery?
— Jeff Poor (@jeff_poor) March 8, 2024
Come on.
Former George W. Bush Press Secretary Ari Fleischer was a tad muted in his reaction, but no less nonplussed.
Biden is just off. His tone, his speed of delivery, his loud punchy way of speaking, is really weird.
— Ari Fleischer (@AriFleischer) March 8, 2024
This speech is odd.
Being loud is not the same thing as being high energy.
— Brigitte Gabriel (@ACTBrigitte) March 8, 2024
The Biden Administration clearly doesn’t understand that.
And media stalwart Brit Hume, who has also been around for a dog's age, was less than enthused.
Biden lasted on foreign policy only briefly. Since then to this moment, all campaign stuff, read at high volume. For a man speaking of a great comeback, he doesn't seem very happy. He seems angry.
— Brit Hume (@brithume) March 8, 2024
Just a few of the lowlights that the legacy press didn't bother to point out were Biden slurring murder victim Laken Riley's name, and calling her "Lincoln." Following in his former boss Barack Obama's footsteps, Biden threatened the Supreme Court over the Dobbs decision, proclaiming that women are not without "electrical power," before correcting himself.
Joe Biden THREATENS the Supreme Court:
— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) March 8, 2024
"With all due respect, Justices, Women are not without electrical power! Excuse me, electoral or political power. You're about to realize just how much you're..."#SOTU pic.twitter.com/KkZqS7OqI6
So, they can keep putting lipstick on this pig, but it's still a pig.
Angry, bitter, vengeful, loud, unhinged and totally disjointed. The Leader of the Free World just spent 68 minutes slurring and screaming at the country. The bar was low and Joe Biden didn’t come close to clearing it. #sotu
— Gerry Callahan (@GerryCallahan) March 8, 2024
No amount of cheerleading from politicians and pundits with a vested interest will convince the American people that this speech was a win. CA Rep. Kevin Kiley, who was at the speech, was clear on this, reinforcing that loud, fiery, or whatever, Biden will continue to be out of touch, and continue to fail America.
President Biden has been in Washington for 50 years, and it shows. His partisan vitriol may play well with some extremists here, but it does nothing address the concerns of the American people: securing the border, lowering the cost of living, and restoring public safety.
