Joe Biden Has Zero Political Capital, so Grandpa Stompy Foot Has to Work

Yesterday began with the good news that the White House was removing the nomination of David Chipman as director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

In what qualifies as some of the best news in a while, David Chipman is not going to be Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosive. The wild-eyed former ATF agent’s nomination has finally been pulled by the Biden administration, an admission that he simply did not have the votes to be confirmed.

This is a good thing for Second Amendment rights, and a good thing for the citizens of America. Why?

Because yesterday ended with President Joe Biden going full-metal dictator.

Biden knows this is unconstitutional and unenforceable federally. So he was talked into using the Department of Labor’s OSHA arm to demand nationwide vaccine compliance.

After Biden was anointed by the legacy media as President of the United States, Joe Biden quickly went from “let’s work together” and “unifier in chief” to “you’re in my way and I will burn you down.”

It didn’t take long, and as Political Commentator Lisa Boothe warns, it’s not going to end with vaccine mandates.

Back in December, President-select Biden blathered on about how COVID vaccinations shouldn’t be mandatory.

Now President-installed Biden has lost patience with those who continue to choose not to take the COVID vaccine.

One could get whiplash if you didn’t see the signs coming. But, many did.

You see, Joe Biden has no political capital left. Absolutely none. Zero, Zip, Nada.

Depending upon what poll you look at, his approval rating is hovering between 36 and 45 percent. After this stink bomb thrown into the manhole of the sewer that is Afghanistan, it’s doubtful it will improve.

Biden refuses to acknowledge anything is happening in Afghanistan, even though we have hostages being held in planes at Mazar-i-Sharif airport, and unspecified numbers of Americans and allies who still are trapped in the country. Americans who are being actively hunted by the Taliban.

Biden’s Chief of Staff Ron Klain and the State Department led by Antony Blinken (unfortunate name for such a weasel) are gaslighting buffoons. So are his generals.

But Joe thinks it’s a good time to fly to California and campaign for California’s Governor Hair Gel, who, if we are honest, is Biden’s test version for dictatorial rule. Now, Gavin Newsom is being recalled by the people of California, and Joe wants to give him a leg up.

Biden’s visit, his first to California since taking office in January, underscores the importance of his party maintaining the governorship in the nation’s most populous state, which has the fifth-largest economy in the world. California has been the breeding ground for progressive policies on climate change, immigration and more. Beyond Harris, a handful of Biden’s Cabinet members have roots in the state.

Newsom also has been one of the most aggressive governors when it comes to the coronavirus, mandating that children wear masks in school and that health care workers get the vaccine. His restrictions on businesses and schools have been a driving force behind the recall as the pandemic remains a dominant force in American life during the first year of Biden’s presidency.

This little gem tells all:

The visit also gives Biden a chance to demonstrate his political clout amid a difficult stretch of his presidency following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. A poll by the Public Policy Institute of California taken from Aug. 20-29 showed 58% of Californians approve of Biden’s job performance. A terrorist attack in Afghanistan killed 13 U.S. service members and many more Afghans on Aug. 26.

Ahh… Biden thinks he has some capital left in the not-so-Golden State.

Polling from the questionable PPIC and the advice from Biden’s handlers couldn’t be more wrong. Californians are among that number still trapped in Afghanistan.

There are 32 military bases in California: military personnel, along with their resident families. These people despise Biden’s cowardice on Afghanistan and his avarice in general. At a recent Kevin Kiley campaign event I attended, I spoke with two military members who came to hear the assemblyman and gubernatorial candidate. They both spoke through gritted teeth about what Biden is doing to the country and to the military, and their sentiments are shared by their family.

So, don’t believe the hype. The population centers of Los Angeles and San Francisco do not tell the whole story.

The Republican governors are already lining up their lawsuits, as well as some private employers who have the finances and infrastructure to mount such a challenge.

But what truly frightens me are the zombies, the zealots, and the intellectual class: the ones who are cheering on this gross trampling of the Constitution, or worse, finding ways to justify it. I find them more disturbing than a politician who can be removed from office or legally neutered.

That’s why our Second Amendment rights matter, and why all who believe in freedom, peace, and safety need to arm themselves.
