Hey, Politicians: You No Longer Have the Option of Selectively Choosing Protests

Californians temporarily dodged a bullet when Bezerkeley Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks (D-Climber) tabled her AB455: “Vaccine Verification Bill” until 2022.

From Wicks’ press release:

On Monday, Asm. Wicks announced that she will hold her proposed vaccine verification bill from moving forward in the State Legislature until 2022, in order to allow more time to create the strongest policy possible, and provide for additional stakeholder collaboration.

As proposed, the bill would require that all employers, both public and private sector, require all employees who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to show proof of vaccination or take a weekly COVID-19 test. Asm. Wicks will continue to work on this proposed bill language headed into the next legislative session, in partnership with Senator Richard Pan (D-Sacramento), Asm. Akilah Weber, M.D. (D-San Diego), Asm. Evan Low (D-Silicon Valley), Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), and Sen. Josh Newman (D-Fullerton).

Translation: Wicks knows that Governor Gavin “Hair Gel” Newsom is in deep trouble. Should he be recalled, any Republican governor is going to veto this bill and send it to the round file, where it belongs. As corrupt and diabolical as this Super Majority Democrat Assembly is, they will find a way to worm it into another bill or set of bills, just like they gutted a transportation bill in order to create this one. The only bulwark to this nonsense is a constitutionally-focused governor, along with voting her, and the other clowns mentioned above, out of office in 2022.

Just for reference, Sen. Scott Wiener (D-Pedarist Enabler) is the one who introduced SB145 in the California Legislature, which was passed into law in September of 2020. The law allows the age of consent to incorporate a 10-year gap; meaning that if an 8-year old child gets raped by an 18-year-old man, the 18-year old will not be deemed a sex offender and not be required to register as one. It was signed by Governor Hair Gel.

So, they all need to go.

Now, at the local level, cities can still choose to institute their own vaccine verification mandates. This is what New York City did. The egregious Los Angeles City Council is right behind them, working to draft language for their own mandate. However, once news got out about it, the people of L.A. have not taken it very well.

From The Hill:

Vaccine mandate opponents showed up at the houses of two Los Angeles council members on Sunday to protest.

City Council President Nury Martinez and Councilman Mitch O’Farrell both said they saw protesters outside their homes after they supported a vaccine mandate in order for individuals to do activities such as eating at a restaurant, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Martinez told the outlet protesters showed up outside her home around 7:30 p.m. She said the protesters also bothered her neighbors.

What is that Martin Luther King, Jr. quote that the Democrats trotted out to support the destruction of Minneapolis, Kenosha, Portland, and other cities in the Summer Riot fests of 2020?

So, Councilmembers Martinez and O’Farrell should maybe start listening to their constituents? Just a suggestion.

The protesters showed up after gathering in a park in the city to show their discontent for vaccine mandates.

The gathering occurred after City Council members asked for a law to be drafted that would require individuals to show their vaccination cards to participate in activities such as eating at restaurants.

The law is still in the drafting stage and has not been decided on.

“Whoever votes yes, we’re coming to your door,” a video on social media showed a man saying during the protest. “We’re coming to your home. You want to intimidate us? We’re coming to you now.”

Good. While I was of the initial opinion that protesting in front of public official’s homes is an invasion of privacy, in the case of protesting these vaccine mandates, I believe I have changed my mind. These officials intention is to ruin our peace and invade our privacy by setting up a discriminatory caste system and encouraging businesses and individuals to out and shame anyone who does not subscribe to their caste. It doesn’t matter the reason. There are a number of people who are immunocompromised or have conditions where these experimental vaccines could well be a death sentence. But this does not matter to these vaccine Nazis; they’ll just pass a law under the guise of public safety, and damn the consequences, intended or unintended.

They showed during the pandemic how little they cared, and it is an encouragement that people are saying they will not be fooled again.

If these elected members cannot understand this, then their peace should rightly also be disturbed. Then their neighbors can name and shame them for being the disruptors of their peace because of the laws these elected officials have chosen to draft.

The barn door was opened by these elected “Betters”; now the barn occupants get to trample all over their lawn.

How does it feel?
