The anti-Israel, pro-Hamas crowd is still pulling its shenanigans. This time, they targeted the New York Times printing plant in Queens, New York, with demonstrators accusing the news outlet of not being biased enough against Israel.
Protesters blocked trucks from distributing the day’s newspapers and made their consternation with the newspaper known. It is the latest in a series of raucous protests and rallies that have been staged since the beginning of the war in Gaza on October 7.
The activists, many of whom wore traditional Palestinian garb, descended on the printing hub in College Point on Thursday morning.
A swarm of anti-Israel protesters early Thursday targeted the New York Times’ printing facility in Queens and accused the center of manufacturing “consent for genocide.”
The protesters descended on the 300,000-square-foot printing hub in College Point — which also publishes the New York Post and is one of the largest in the US — shortly before 1 a.m. and littered the access road to the building with rocks and other debris to prevent trucks from collecting newspapers for morning delivery.
They were carrying signs that read “Stop the presses. Free Palestine” and “Consent for genocide is manufactured here.”

This is the latest in a series of incidents in which pro-Hamas activists have staged protests intended to pressure news outlets and politicians to be more critical of Israel as it fights Hamas in Gaza. In Hollywood, California, they attempted to disrupt the Academy Awards by protesting out in the middle of the streets.

In Chicago, Illinois, demonstrators protested at a movie theater during a screening of “Nova,” a documentary about Hamas’ October 7 surprise attack on Israel in which terrorists massacred 1,200 Israeli soldiers and civilians. The protesters blocked the entry to Logan Theatre while shouting “Shame on you!” at attendees. The situation became violent when they assaulted a Jewish man carrying an Israeli flag.
One Jewish man, who did not want to be identified for fears for his safety, walked into the building carrying a small Israeli flag.
"I did not say anything to anyone, as we walked up I did not look at anyone, I did not give anyone the finger, I simply walked up holding an Israeli flag," he said.
The man, who is in his late 50s, said one protester tried to yank the flag from his hand. The next thing he knew, he was being attacked by several protesters.
"A group of them was swinging me around and threw me into a parked car," the victim said. "I was completely surrounded by maybe six or seven that started punching me in the head."
Fortunately he was not seriously injured, but the attack has left him shocked and worried for the future of his Jewish children.
These protests are grim reminders of the growing tensions in America related to the overall Israel-Palestinian conflict. As the nation grapples with how to react to the war in Gaza, the anti-Israel lobby is ramping up its efforts to propagandize against the Jewish state. It was recently announced that a coalition of progressive organizations is launching an initiative titled “Reject AIPAC,” which is intended to counter the influence of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
The debate over tensions in the Middle East shows no signs of calming down anytime soon. We can expect to see even more protests and violent attacks coming from the anti-Israel left as time goes on.
