Rashida Tlaib Steps in It Again With Absurd Accusations Against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), a proud member of the Hamas caucus, displayed her ignorance of terms like “genocide” during a livestream discussing the Israel-Hamas war. As an ardent critic of the Israeli government and aggressive defender of Hamas, she has been on the front lines of the anti-Israel debate, using her position to spout pro-Hamas propaganda while urging Congress to force Israel to stop its war against the terrorist organization.

In the latest development, Tlaib referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “genocidal maniac” and condemned every lawmaker who has met with him or expressed support for the Jewish state.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., is calling out her colleagues in the U.S. Congress who have sat down with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the ongoing war between his country and the terror group Hamas.

She called the conservative leader a "genocidal maniac" in a post on her Instagram Story on Wednesday.

"Every member of Congress who sits down with this murderer is supporting a war criminal," Tlaib wrote. "We will never ever forget."

That would include fellow Democrats who met with Netanyahu since the war began, as the issue continues to fracture the left.

Tlaib continued, saying that she is “so sick and tired of our country funding and supporting a genocide and war on children” and urged her followers not to “stop talking about Palestine.”

As is typical, there are several flaws in Tlaib’s assertions. For starters, Israel is not committing genocide, nor is it even attempting to. Genocide involves wiping out an entire group of people. The notion that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are attempting to annihilate the Arabs living in the Gaza Strip is laughable, considering that the population in Gaza and the West Bank has grown considerably since Israel ever became involved in these regions.

According to WorldData.info, the Arab population in Gaza and the West Bank increased from about 2 million people in the early 1990s to over 5 million in 2022. This marks a growth of 155 percent over 32 years. To give even more perspective, the entire world’s population increased by about 50.6 percent during the same timeframe, which means the Palestinian population is growing at a faster rate than the rest of the world.

In light of this data, there are only two reasonable takeaways. Either Israel’s government is wildly incompetent at committing genocide, or it is not actually trying to wipe out the Palestinian population.

Tlaib’s accusation also ignores the reality that Israel has taken steps to minimize civilian casualties in Gaza, unlike Hamas, who deliberately targeted Israeli civilians on October 7th, slaughtering men, women, and children for the crime of existing. Indeed, when it comes to genocide, perhaps Tlaib should look at Hamas. The terrorist group has repeatedly proclaimed its intention to erase the Jewish presence from Judea and Samaria. Unlike some in the U.S., they do not advocate for a two-state solution. They want one state in which Jews are either absent or subjugated. It’s in their charter,

Lastly, there is also Tlaib’s insistence that Israel is fighting a war on children. Again, she and her ilk completely ignore how Hamas has oppressed residents in Gaza since it took over in 2007. They have committed horrific human rights abuses against Arab civilians and have even taken to using them as human shields against Israel. Indeed, Hamas not only wants Israeli civilians to die, they also want Palestinian civilians to perish so that they can exploit their deaths as propaganda weapons against Israel.

There is nothing principled about Tlaib’s attacks on Israel. She is simply doing her part to promote Hamas’ agenda, which has nothing to do with helping the Palestinians.
