Activist Media Calls Pro-Lifers ‘Terrorists’ While Ignoring Arson Attack on Pro-Life Organization

Their hypocrisy knows no bounds. The activist media has been in an uproar ever since a Supreme Court draft opinion about Roe v. Wade was leaked to the public. The left has been engaged in some of the most frantic hand wringing and pearl clutching imaginable. This was evident during a recent episode of MSNBC’s “Cross Connection” in which Amy Hagstrom Miller, president of Whole Woman’s Health, told host Tiffany Cross that “Christian extremism” is motivating the pro-life movement.

Michelle Colon, co-founder and executive director of SHERo MS and a panelist on the show, called pro-life activists “terrorists.” Cross concurred, and claimed pro-lifers seek to get what they want “through violence.”

Cross then turned to Miller and asked for her view on the draft opinion. Miller replied:

“There is violence and it is terrorism, and I think it’s very important for us to recognize that it is Christian extremism that is at the root of this shame and this stigma, that allows laws like this to pass, that allows justices like this to be confirmed and it does not represent the majority of feelings and beliefs of people in this country.”

“Everybody knows and loves somebody who’s needed an abortion in their lifetime. This is not how any of us want people who need our compassion and our dignified care to be treated at any point in time,” the pro-abortion advocate continued, “There’s no way that half of the country should lose access to safe abortion care because of a law like this. It’s time for people to speak up, and it’s been time for people to speak up.”

Progressives have become quite fond of the word “terrorist” when discussing people who do not share their views. Remember how they used it to label parents concerned about what school districts are teaching their children?

But there is another curious factor in this equation. While pretending that pro-lifers are Christian extremist terrorists, every major left-wing outlet except the New York Times has conspicuously overlooked an act of violence committed by pro-abortionists. Fox News reported:

A Wisconsin anti-abortion group said Sunday someone tossed a Molotov cocktail into its Madison office and spray-painted a message outside reading, “if abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.”

Local reporters from outlets including WISC-TV, the Wisconsin State Journal, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said they visited the office for Wisconsin Family Action on Sunday and shared photos and videos of the apparent arson attack. A shattered window had since been boarded up, and images showed fire damaged furniture and burned books littering the floor of the office.

Julaine Applin, president of Wisconsin Family Action, said the individual threw the Molotov cocktail into her office at about 6 a.m. She does not know who carried out the attack. The group has criticized the leaking of the draft opinion, which was written by Justice Samuel Alito.

From Fox News:

The pro-life non-profit has published press releases in the past week criticizing Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, President Biden and other Democrats, arguing in one May 6 statement, “While refusing to properly define a woman, they fail to recognize that murder is objectively evil and that the right to life is the only right that exists in this case.”

So, let’s recap.

MSNBC thinks people who oppose abortion are Christian extremist terrorists, but they, along with other activist media outlets, are ignoring a blatant act of terrorism because the person who carried it out agrees with the left’s opinions on abortion. Do we even need to question what would happen if a real anti-abortion extremist bombed an abortion clinic?

The incident would receive wall-to-wall coverage. Democrats would exploit the damage to paint all conservatives as extremists. Progressives in the activist media would use the attack to try to get at least one Supreme Court justice to change their minds about Roe v. Wade. Indeed, it was recently reported that pro-abortion activists are putting on a full-court press designed to accomplish exactly that.

But if you throw a Molotov cocktail into a pro-life organization, you are not deemed to be newsworthy. What is truly unfortunate about this reality is that it could easily lead to more violence. If the activist media covers up a pro-abortion attack, couldn’t it inspire others to commit similar crimes if they know it is not likely they would be held accountable? Moreover, if they are intent on labeling people who disagree with them as terrorists, it could also motivate violence against pro-abortionists. Either way, the press is behaving irresponsibly by trying to keep the public from finding out about the attack. But they are too busy pushing a narrative to care.
