Despite the activist media’s constant attempts to keep President Joe Biden’s foibles hidden like the Wizard behind the curtain, the American public can clearly see how badly he is handling the migrant crisis he created. Yet another poll revealed that the majority of Americans do not approve of the president’s approach to immigration.

A Washington Post/ABC News poll conducted on June 30^th revealed that 51 percent of respondents disapprove of the Biden administration’s handling of the crisis. Only 33 percent believe he is doing a decent job.

This, and other polls, come amid widespread concern over the situation at the southern border, which has seen record numbers of migrants and unaccompanied minors attempting to gain entry into the United States, legally and illegally. The president’s decision to reverse most of former President Donald Trump’s policies has created a situation in which U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has been stretched thin as it struggles to handle the massive influx of migrants.

To make matters worse, the Biden administration has brought about a return to the “Catch and Release” policy, which has resulted in many migrant families being dropped off in border towns. A disturbing number of these individuals were not even given a court date to have their cases adjudicated. The White House’s mishandling of the immigration issue has also empowered Mexican drug cartels, who are raking in the cash through human smuggling, drug trafficking, and other nefarious activities.

Despite Vice President Kamala Harris’ belated trip to the southern border, the public still believes that the Biden administration is fouling the situation up.

This isn’t the only poll in which Americans disapproved of Biden’s handling of the border problem. A recent Harvard/Harris poll revealed that 61 percent of respondents believed that the rise in unaccompanied minors is President Biden’s fault.

Meanwhile, the activist press has been working overtime to either downplay the issues at the border or ignore them completely. The plight of unaccompanied minors being held at Fort Bliss received scant attention from the media despite reports of disease, starvation, and even sexual abuse surfaced. If there were ever a story demonstrating that the Fourth Estate is functioning as the Democrats’ Ministry of Propaganda, this is it.

The motivation behind the media’s avoidance of the border crisis is clear: They know this will be an albatross around Biden’s neck. By extension, the Democratic Party will also suffer due to the president’s ineptitude. It will be yet another issue that might push voters to pull the “R” lever when the 2022 midterm elections come around. It could also have ramifications for the 2024 presidential election as well.

However, it is encouraging that the media’s whitewashing of Biden’s incompetence has not prevented people from seeing the truth. Indeed, these surveys show that even the press is unable to spin this disaster enough to fool its audience.
