There really are no worse hypocrites when it comes to money than Democrats. They spend all the live long day bashing “the rich” and pretending they care about the poor because they propose ever more social programs that do nothing but perpetuate the cycle of poverty. They justify their failures by claiming “they try” and prognosticating how their ideas would work splendidly if there was a little more money to “invest” in the program.
Democrats thrive on attacking the very institutions that make them wealthy – energy companies, banks, Wall Street investment firms, etc. Hillary Clinton, loves to talk tough about for-profit colleges:
There are students who take out loans to pay for an expensive degree from a for-profit institution — only to find little support once they actually enroll, or they graduate and discover that, when it comes to finding a job, their degree isn’t worth what they thought.
Hillary as promised to “get tough” with such institutions with respect to federal aid they receive and strengthening the “gainful employer rules” that requires schools to prepare students to go into the real world and work.
Granted, as is almost always the case with the Clinton’s it is a lot of “do as I say, not as I do” rhetoric. Hillary obvious had little issue with the hubby making a ton of dough thanks to a for-profit college:
There was another reason Clinton favored setting a seat aside for Laureate at the August 2009 event: The company was started by a businessman, Doug Becker, “who Bill likes a lot,” the secretary wrote, referring to her husband, the former president.
Nine months later, Laureate signed Bill Clinton to a lucrative deal as a consultant and “honorary chancellor,” paying him $17.6 million over five years until the contract ended in 2015 as Hillary Clinton launched her campaign for president.
He made $3.52 million a year and for what? Nothing. An “honorary” title denotes Bill Clinton didn’t have to lift a finger to to get those checks. Will the press ever ask Hillary how many students are deeper in debt thanks in part to her husbands deal with Laureate International Universities? After all, tuition is high enough as it is at such schools without factoring in the kind of rainmaking deal Bill was able to negotiate.
Meanwhile, Hillary will continue to bash CEO’s and their salaries, despite the fact those men and women actually do work, as opposed to raking in tens of millions giving speeches and doing “consulting” on behalf of for-profit colleges.
