Teachers’ Unions Have Been Spreading Hate for Longer Than We Thought

Parents and grandparents, you’ve been lied to for more than a year by teachers’ unions, the legacy media, and Leftist politicians about whether Critical Race Theory is being taught in American K-12 schools.

Thankfully, the teachers’ unions overplayed their hand when they squandered the past year of our children’s education, streaming racially charged propaganda into living rooms and kitchens and directly to the attention of parents largely unaware of what their children were being taught.

The propagandists in the teachers’ unions who were hoping to sow division amongst school children have instead succeeded in uniting parents across the country, from all socioeconomic, racial, and political backgrounds, against the destructive lessons being pumped into their homes, and parents aren’t taking it lying down.

The shocking truth, however, is that despite their lies to the contrary, CRT is being taught to our youngest and most vulnerable students already, and the plan for doing so has been on the drawing board for longer than we’ve been told.

In fact, the Freedom Foundation recently obtained a lengthy guidebook prepared by the nation’s largest teachers union, the National Education Association, that reveals in stunning detail how teachers have been using tenets of critical race theory (CRT) to push a laundry list of anti-American and racially charged policies for years.

The Racial Justice in Education Resource Guide calls on teachers to get active in the BLM movement, to campaign to defund the police and ban voter ID laws, remove problematic statues, and rename schools.

Sound familiar? The NEA guidebook was uploaded to its website in November 2018.

The Freedom Foundation prepared a primer of the 80-page document, here.

First, teachers’ unions claimed Critical Race Theory is only taught in law schools.

But after months of “zoom school” in which parents actually got to hear the anti-American garbage directed at their children, resulting in viral school board meetings during which parents called out board members over the curriculum of hate they were witnessing, this lie would no longer suffice.

Next, we were told it wasn’t really Critical Race Theory, but rather “honest history” that examines “how today’s racial inequality is a systemic legacy of this country’s history.”

But parents can see through the semantic games. No well-meaning parent wants their child to be taught to judge themselves and their classmates by their appearance rather than by the content of their character.

And it is so unpopular that currently, 27 state legislatures are working on legislation to ban the curriculum.

The jig is up, so now teachers’ unions and Leftist politicians have resorted to calling you a racist if you do not want your kid to be taught they are either permanently part of an oppressor class or that they have been born permanently oppressed.

And they are brazenly announcing they are going to teach this curriculum to America’s children whether their parents want it or not.

The NEA  recently pledged $127,000 to promote Critical Race Theory and to fight legislative attempts in at least 27 states to ban the propaganda in K-12 schools.

The NEA shockingly went further, also pledging $56,000 to find and distribute opposition research on organizations that oppose Critical Race Theory.

The American Federation of Teachers (AFT), the second-largest teacher union in the country, announced plans to beef up its legal defense fund with $2.5 million more to legally defend teachers who suffer consequences for teaching CRT against state law.

But wait, there’s more.

The Zinn Education Project, a left-leaning organization that provides teaching materials based on the textbooks and socialist outlook of revisionist historian Howard Zinn, has put together a pledge asking teachers to commit to continuing to teach that America “was founded on dispossession of Native Americans, slavery, structural racism and oppression; and structural racism is a defining characteristic of our society today.”

More than 7,400 teachers across the country have signed this pledge.

The most recent example of classroom propaganda was the self-described “Antifa” teacher in Natomas, CA exposed by Project Veritas.

For years, the teachers’ unions and their activist minions in the classroom have relied on the fact that there is safety in numbers, and they had the numbers on their side. They’ve been peddling propaganda like the Racial Justice in Education Resource Guide in their materials, at their conventions and training sessions, knowing there is no such equivalent organized group of parents.

Thankfully, that appears to be changing, as parents storm the school board meetings, organize campaigns to replace board members, and most importantly, pay attention to what their children are being taught so they can undo that damage at home.

The momentum is growing. Please share this NEA guidebook with all the parents in your life.
