Transgenderism is a trend that has lingered around mainstream society long past its shelf date. While the corporate world, leftist activist groups, and Democrat party have done their best to keep it alive, more and more, the American people are largely over it. Corporations have shown they've gotten the message, with various big name brands either removing themselves from the LGBT causes or severely reducing the presence of the LGBT cause in their stores severely.
But just because it's reducing visibility from its brand, it doesn't mean that these brands aren't willing to bend the knee when asked. That said, putting transgenderism's social longevity purely at the feet of corporations would be wrong. A business can try to keep a trend alive all they want, but it won't work without people pushing it along.
There is an entire swath of the Western world who know that transgenderism is harmful. They know it shouldn't be pushed on children. They know that they should be calling out transgender criminals just like they would any other. But they do none of these things because while a corporation risks losing money, regular people lose something far greater; their personal relationships.
Becoming a social pariah is a very, very scary prospect for many people. They don't want to be forced out of their friend groups. They don't want to be the one spoken about in negative terms among their friends. They don't want to be rejected.
So they stay quiet and either say little to nothing or lie about what they actually believe.
This is especially true if the pariah status you're trying to avoid is at your job, and while in some cases hiding your true feelings on the matter of transgenderism is understandable, in others, it only feeds the idea that people should be scared to speak out about it.
One such example is Charlie White, or as most people know him, "MoistCr1TiKal."
White has been a streamer and YouTuber for ages, having been a presence on it since near YouTube's launch. Over the course of the years, he's become popular for his takes and commentary on various events, ranging from entertainment to even the political scene. Personally, I like White's takes and often feature his videos on my own stream.
However, he recently got into it with another Rumble streamer named "Sneako" on the topic of transgenderism, specifically on the subject of "trans kids." White's position is that if the child and the parents are consenting, then transgender "surgeries" (it's just mutilation) on a child is fine. However, White thought it horrific for minors to marry grown adults, even if all parties, including parents, consented. As you can see, this creates a massive gap in logic on White's part.

Sneako trapped White here. Logically, if a minor is mature enough to decide to chop off their own body parts and begin taking irreversible hormones, then a minor marrying an adult shouldn't be that large of a leap in logic. If a minor isn't mature enough to marry an adult, something that can be reversed, then they definitely aren't mature enough to start lopping their genitals off.
Yet White couldn't bring himself to admit that he was wrong despite logic staring him right in the face.
It's not pride keeping White locked in this obviously backward way of thinking. White's entire career revolves around parasocial relationships with his viewers, many of whom are leftists themselves. Moreover, there's a business element to this. Any sponsors that White might have might pull out if he expresses the wrong opinion here. Even his own business may suffer heavy losses if he admits that bringing children into transgenderism is a bad thing.
What you saw was White cowering in the face of cancelation; of becoming a pariah.
I use White as an example because his problem is the problem many people have. They're locked into approving something they shouldn't because ceasing that approval would mean the destruction of their lives.
But wouldn't it be better if White, and indeed many like him, used that as an opportunity to at least draw a line? They can say "hey, transgenderism is alright but let's not rope the kids into this because they aren't old enough to grasp the consequences of their decisions yet." To be sure, they'd still face consequences from corporations, sponsors, and fans, but if everyone drew that line then it'd be hard to fault anyone for having that position.
But it's a collective cowardice that stops everyone saying what should be said and what, I would argue, most people feel in their heart. If you continue to keep your position in the face of proof that your position is wrong, then the only two remaining reasons you'd still cling to your wrong opinion is spite or fear.
You can tell which ones are spiteful, but I would argue that most people are like White. Fear is what drives them to stay locked into something they know is wrong.
Cowardice is keeping the transgender movement on life support.
