Disney Can't Help Itself, Hires Biden Devotee to VP Media Relations

Few will blame you if you've never heard the name Remi Yamamoto. She was one of those people in Joe Biden's staff who didn't spend much time up front where you could see her, but rest assured you bore witness to a lot of her work.

And you're going to see a lot more of it as she has left the world of politics in order to dive into the world of politics with Disney's logo slapped on it.

According to Variety, Yamamoto has been hired by the House of Mouse to be their VP of Media Relations for its television division:

Based in Los Angeles, Yamamoto will be reporting directly to Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul, executive vice president of publicity and head of communications for Disney Entertainment Television (DET).

Most recently special assistant to President Biden and senior advisor for the office of the chief of staff at the White House, Yamamoto will be responsible for developing cross-brand messaging and communications strategies that promote Disney Entertainment Television programming executives across ABC Entertainment, ABC News, ABC Owned Television Stations, Disney Branded Television, Disney Television Studios, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic and Onyx Collective, working closely with brand publicity leads across the businesses, per Disney.

Yamamoto is a logical choice if you're Disney, an organization that has become so politically bent over the past decade that it's become more of a propaganda outlet for leftist radicalism than the family entertainment empire it once was. Their new VP of Media Relations was one of Biden's most senior aides, having been around longer than even Jen Psaki or Karine Jean-Pierre.

According to People Magazine, who did a puff piece on her last March, Yamamoto has been an integral figure to Joe Biden's campaigns and daily White House operations:

By Biden's side from day one of his campaign — in April 2019 — Yamamoto was present for all the highs and lows of the election cycle. Profiled in Vogue and later honored on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, she played a key role in developing the strategies that ultimately earned Biden a victory over incumbent Donald Trump.

"We wouldn't be here without her," says deputy White House chief of staff Bruce Reed, noting that she's "worked her heart out" over the past four years.

...

Behind the scenes, Yamamoto became central to West Wing operations, serving as the top communications advisor to the White House chief of staff and other senior officials. She was looped in on policy conversations within the administration — sometimes contributing ideas herself — and played an integral role in promoting government transparency by giving media better access to Biden's inner circle.

Yamamoto was described as "unflinchingly loyal" to the Biden administration by those who knew her.

But now she works for Disney where she'll be handling a crumbling television empire. When last RedState reported, Disney was in the midst of selling off quite a few of its television properties, including ABC, FX, and Freeform. These issues come on top of a host of other issues being experienced by the Disney corporation, including a failing streaming service and disappointing box office numbers.

Confidence in Disney's products has fallen in the public eye and its stock prices reflect this as the company has lost a whopping 56 percent of its market cap since March 22, 2022.

Disney's politicization has cost it a wide swath of its audience and bringing in a person who spent the last handful of years creating excuses and talking points for a radical leftist administration only lends to the idea that Disney has no plans of reversing course but making better excuses for its current one.

But Yamamoto isn't the first Democrat hired by Disney. In April of 2022, Disney hired longtime Democrat comms director Kristina Schake to be their Executive Vice President of Global Communications.

Disney seems intent on digging deeper into its ideological pit with every hire.
