If you were to ask what the primary cause behind most violence in America is, the majority of the left would immediately tell you that it’s the fault of gun owners, gun rights organizations, and guns. This specifically includes “weapons of war,” which is what the left calls any gun that looks scary enough.
Of course, the primary gun people tend to get antsy about is the dreaded AR-15, which the left blames for the majority of violent crimes in the nation.
Despite the vast majority of gun owners being law-abiding citizens, gun rights organizations not having one death to their name, and guns being an inanimate object that requires manipulation by outside forces in order to be effective, it’s a narrative that falls flat right away. Despite this, the left and its media/activist machine have convinced quite a few people in the country that in order for America to be a peaceful country, we first have to give up our guns.
Australia is proving that to be a completely false statement, but I digress.
Here’s what we do know. Homicides are up 30 percent: the largest increase on record, according to the FBI. As reported by The Federalist, 2020 was a time for hard crime:
According to the FBI’s 2020 crime statistics, there were more than 1,277,696 violent crimes committed in the United States in 2020. While robbery and rape offenses fell in 2020 compared to 2019, murder and “nonnegligent manslaughter offenses” increased by 29.4 percent. Motor vehicle thefts have also increased by 11.8 percent since 2019.
“For the first time in four years, the estimated number of violent crimes in the nation increased when compared with the previous year’s statistics,” the FBI admitted in a press release.
The left has already noted this crime surge and with little to no evidence, pointed to firearms being the main issue.
Let’s look at the facts.
According to the FBI, violent crime rose in major cities while it fell in small towns. These violent crimes that did rise happened directly after the murder of George Floyd and riots began happening, and then increased more in cities where defunding the police became the order of the day. This includes losses of up to $17.5 billion in property crime.

When it came to violent crime, what weapon was most used?
Not rifles.
As reported by Breitbart, the FBI released data on Monday that shows that while over 400 people were shot and killed with rifles, over 1,700 were stabbed or hacked to death with “knives for cutting instruments”:
The UCR shows that 454 people were shot and killed with rifles in 2020 while 1,732 were stabbed or hacked to death with “knives or cutting instruments.”
Breitbart News reported that the previous UCR release showed over four times as many people were stabbed to death in 2019 than were killed with rifles of all kinds.
The exact figures for 2019 were 375 killed with rifles while 1,525 were stabbed to death with “knives or cutting instruments.”
So you’re far more likely to die via stabbing than AR-15, according to FBI data.
But, what else can we pull from this?
What we can definitely say, for sure, is that when it comes to violence, the left is the primary instigator in America. If your city is blue, then it’s more likely to be victim to political activist groups, some of which have no problem burning a city to the ground over half-baked media reporting. Should rioters do violence upon you, then they’re more likely going to get away with it if the leader of the city is a Democrat. These Democrats may even go so far as to defend your actions as you commit these crimes.
In other words, the biggest threat to America is Democrats. They care about their agenda being pushed and enforced more than your safety or property. What’s more, they want to distract you from their part in helping these crimes happen by blaming you and “weapons of war” the majority of which sit safely in homes, never having harmed anyone.
The Democrats are the real bad guys here.
