President Joe Biden and the Democrats are being made very aware that after the midterms, the same treatment the left gave President Donald Trump is going to be given to them, only this time the reasons for the treatment won’t be made up.

According to The Hill, four GOP congressmen have filed articles of impeachment aimed at Biden over his conduct and decisions over the last nine months. These lawmakers include GOP Reps. Bob Gibbs (R), Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Brian Babin (Texas) and Randy Weber (Texas).

“It’s clear the President is not up to the job, that his entire administration is willing to thumb its nose at the Constitution. Though Pelosi’s House will not hold [Biden] accountable, it’s incumbent upon House Republicans to call out his egregious violations of his oath of office,” tweeted Gibbs.

This will mark the second time impeachment articles have been submitted against Biden, with Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green having led the first effort the day after Biden was in office. Like the previous effort, it’s highly unlikely that this impeachment attempt will find any traction in a House and Senate still dominated by Democrats, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that the midterms aren’t going to be kind to the Democrats.

Biden’s horrendous polling indicates Democrats are in for a rough time with 41 seats predicted to be pried from Democrats’ hands. According to the Washington Examiner, one strategist said you can predict election outcomes based on presidential popularity:

Public Opinion Strategies pollster Glen Bolger said it’s easy to track election outcomes to presidential polling, and with Biden’s sinking approval, Democrats are likely to lose about the 41 seats Trump lost, 34 more than the GOP needs to take control. And that’s before House district lines are redrawn to conform to new Census Bureau data.

“As baseball great Yogi Berra famously said, it’s deja vu all over again,” Bolger said in unveiling his cache of new polling data.

The congressmen are likely under full knowledge their impeachment attempt will fail but this seems to be more about firing shots over the bow of Democrats than it is about attempting to accomplish a result, at least for now, and Republicans want voters to see them doing it.

In the minds of voters who have watched their economy tank, Americans abandoned in Afghanistan, their cities and neighborhoods invaded by illegal migrants, rising crime rates, COVID-19 hysteria, an impeachment of the man at the center of it all seems more and more like a fun and fulfilling prospect. The GOP would love nothing more than to give voters something to look forward to, if they’re allowed to retake power in the House and Senate.

This isn’t just a warning to Biden and the Democrats, it’s a promise to voters.
