Not even the bombshell article from The Intercept is going to cause the media to betray Democrat interests and/or turn on Dr. Anthony Fauci. Unsurprisingly, none of the major leftist news outlets want to discuss new revelations connecting the doctor to the Wuhan Lab where the virus may have come from.

As we’ve been covering at RedState, documents pertaining to the NIH-funded study titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence” contained grants through EcoHealth Alliance which acted as a subcontractor to the NIH. This was only recently confirmed by The Intercept. The article should have taken the country, and indeed the world, by storm, but it would appear the mainstream media is doing its level best to hold back the tide of facts and information by staying silent about it.

As pointed out by Fox News, none of the major networks and even major print outlets have given next to no time about The Intercept article and its revelations:

However, the bombshell revelations have received zero coverage on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Grabien transcripts.

Fauci even appeared for interviews with CNN anchor Jim Sciutto and MSNBC host Joy Reid on Tuesday, both of whom avoided the subject.

The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Politico, Axios and The Associated Press also appeared to skip the major development.

Much of the legacy media similarly ignored the damning leaked phone call transcripts from July showing President Biden urging then-Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to push a “perception” of stability in Afghanistan “whether it is true or not” ahead of the chaotic military withdrawal and the takeover of the Taliban.

The leftist media avoiding talking about this development isn’t surprising. Democrats and the media have invested a lot of time and effort into propping up Fauci as an infallible authority on the COVID-19 virus and painting those who challenge or disagree with him, like Rand Paul, as irresponsible extremists.

If Fauci is wrong, then they’re wrong, and if people get it into their head that they’re wrong, then people may begin wondering what else they’re wrong about. What’s more, it would give credence to the Republican opposition who have been saying for months that Fauci is a snake posing as a doctor. With midterms approaching faster and faster, Democrats can’t have another failure attached to their ankle and sapping them of momentum.

So, the media is protecting Fauci by omitting major developments that would do him and thus their credibility harm.
