If President Joe Biden won’t do it, Texas Governor Greg Abbott says he will.

On Thursday night, Abbott appeared on Fox News’s “The Ingraham Angle” and told viewers that he’s allocated $1 billion of his state’s fiscal year budget toward border security, some of which will be used to continue construction of Trump’s border wall, which Biden canceled his first day in office.

At the beginning of June, Abbott had made a disaster declaration about the unsecured border in order to “provide more resources to protect landowners and enforce all fed and state laws to combat criminal activities stemming from Biden’s borer crisis.”

Upon being asked how Abbott was going to do this without the help of the federal government, Abbott noted the billion dollars of the state’s budget being directed to this problem and that if Biden won’t do it, Texans will do it themselves.

“We have to build the border,” said Abbott. “I’ve been down here talking to the people in the Rio Grande Valley and the way they are being overrun is reprehensible, it’s disastrous what the Biden administration has done.”

Abbott says that the state will also increase arrests and issuing increased jail sentences under the disaster declaration.

Ingraham asked Abbott if he thought the Biden administration’s refusal to enforce the border was purposeful, to which Abbott replied that it is willful and think the border crisis is something of a joke, but that to Texans, this isn’t funny and the state is going to take this issue very seriously.

Biden also told Ingraham that the Biden administration was actually suing Abbott for the lengths he’s attempting to go to in order to secure the border, proving that when it comes to security, the Biden administration seems to be willfully allowing this to happen to Texas, and America.

Abbott said that his borer wall announcement was going to be explained far more fully in the coming days.

While no one from the Biden administration has openly said that the lack of security at the border was willful, all clues point to the fact that it is. One rancher who lives next to the border wall made it clear in an interview that the wall works well, but that on day one Biden had to prove his anti-Trump chops and immediately ceased construction in order to defy Trump and ruin his legacy.

It seems very, very plausible that that’s the case. The sad part is that it’s not Trump who’s going to get hurt here. He’s only going to be proven right. It’s the American people who are going to feel the sting from Biden’s lack of border security.

Not just the Americans, but children as well. Coyotes who bring the across the border aren’t doing it for virtuous reasons. Sometimes children are abandoned, sold into sex slavery, and more. So often are children found that the overflow in migrant facilities is so bad that they had to open up a makeshift facility under a bridge. Her children sleep in the dirt. One farmer even found a group of baby girls, one of which was crawling naked in the dirt, abandoned in the wilderness.

This problem will only continue to grow worse and affect more than just border states. If Texas has to do the job the federal government refuses to, so be it.
