Longtime CNN Exec Calls out Brian Stelter on Air for Not Featuring Conservatives on His Show

CNN’s Brian Stelter, the host of Reliable Sources, was paying homage to long-time CNN Executive Rick Davis, described by Stelter as a “living legend” who has been at the network since the beginning. Now, as Davis is retiring from his position, Stelter had him on the program to talk about his job, his journey, and more.

It was during this segment, however, that Stelter asked Davis directly how he could improve the show, and Davis responded by saying that his show has a severe lack of conservative voices on it.

“I think you need to strive to have more voices on the show from right of center,” said Davis.

“Responsible voices from right of center on the show,” Davis continued. “And occasionally, when you can, you want to have some newsmakers on who can express to you how they feel about the media, particularly if they feel like the media got it wrong.”

Will Stelter take the advice of the guy he claims to look up to?

Don’t hold your breath. Reliable Sources isn’t exactly known for being a fair show and Stelter never seems particularly interested in anything Conservatives have to say unless he can somehow use it against them. In fact, the entire network seems averse to introducing conservative thought into the mainstream and seems to be on a multi-year mission to make right-of-center thinking out to be extremist in any regard.

As Fox News reported, CNN parted ways with conservative commentator Matt Lewis, who announced Monday that he is no longer contributing to CNN. Lewis was a network constant thanks to his position as a conservative who constantly criticized President Donald Trump. However, Lewis refuses to support President Joe Biden, and that seems to be a line CNN doesn’t want to be crossed.

“I’m not going to get into any details. All I will say is that I had a great five year run with them and that I’m also excited about the future,” Lewis told Fox News.

The ideological supremacism will likely get far worse at CNN before it gets better, fully against the advice of Davis. Democrats and the left have made it clear that conservative opinion is dangerous and resistance against the Biden administration’s “unity” will not be talked about kindly.

Objectivity is not what CNN is known for, and it’s not likely that Stelter will change his ways on the advice of a guy whom he no longer has to call “boss.”
