While former VP Joe Biden has been leading the 2020 pack of Democrats since even before the race began, I think at this point it’s clear that he may very well fall before the “democratic” socialist, Sen. Bernie Sanders.
That is if the Democratic National Committee doesn’t interfere in the same way it did in 2016, which it very well might. Time will tell, but it’d be hard to see them letting that happen without some kind of interference, but I digress.
Sanders represents almost everything I can’t stand about the left. He’s a man pushing hard for failed things while promising free things to people that will have to be paid for by people with jobs, which is a thing Sanders has never had. He wants to punish success and limit any that you might have, all while talking about giving success to those who haven’t earned it.
And I hope he wins the nomination.
I sincerely do.
As much as I want to keep someone like Sanders as far away from the Oval Office as possible, I want what the radicals who have taken over the Democratic party want, and that’s to make his level of radicalism the official face of the left.
As it stands, that might actually happen. NBC News reported that Sanders brought in a whopping $34 million in the fourth quarter:
Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign shrugged off a health scare and took in more than $34.5 million in the fourth quarter, a massive haul in the final stretch before nominating contests start.
The independent senator from Vermont and 2020 Democratic hopeful raised more than $18 million in December, his best month of the election cycle, his campaign said Thursday.
In a tweet Thursday, Sanders said “we’re proving you don’t need to beg the wealthy and powerful for campaign contributions in order to win elections.”
If Sanders clinches the nomination then that’d be great. Why?
I think the risk of setting Sanders one man away from the White House is worth it in the face of what it could accomplish in 2020, and that’s the complete demoralization and ruin of the Democratic party.
For one, I think it’s a sort of safe risk to take. Sanders winning $34 million is all well and good for him, but President Donald Trump is out-fundraising him by leaps and bounds. He’s raised over $300 million this year, and even very recently just an extra $46 million off of the impeachment attempts alone.

Trump is almost guaranteed a win, and I say “almost” because I never want to say never. I was once for sure Trump would never be president right up to the moment when he was. While I can say I’ve never been more happy to be wrong, it taught me an important lesson.
However, the fact is I want Sanders to be the nominee because I want the left to bring everything it represents to America’s biggest election stage only so it can watch it fail miserably. To be weighed, measured, and found wanting by the rule of the American people.
I don’t just want Sanders as a person to fail, I want everything he represents to fail, and I want all of America, and especially his supporters, to watch as it happens. I want an example to be set. I want a lesson to be taught.
Socialism is not welcome in America.
The radical left may have a concentration of very loud people, but at the end of the day, they are a very small group of people screaming as loud as possible to make you think they’re a “movement.” They have their online rage mobs and campus marches, but in the end, it’s all show. They’re a movement of fashion, not function.
This is a perfect time to show them how welcome they are not in our government as we’ve had multiple examples of just how bad for the United States a socialist in charge would be.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in her anti-corporate socialist manner chased Amazon away from creating a campus in her congressional district and stood proudly over the corpses of 25,000 would-be jobs. Now, even Democrat voters in her district consider her a villain.
Their word. Not mine.

Right now, in the state of California, we’re watching as freelancers have to fight for their lives against a socialist system that looks to essentially cut their legs right out from under them. To that issue, I highly recommend you read my colleague, Jennifer Van Laar’s article about California’s AB5 bill by a San Diego Democrat that seeks to unionize various businesses that utilize freelance labor but could end up crippling freelance workers.
Even when it comes to things like hiking the minimum wage to make it a “living wage” as the socialists like to put it, you can see devastating effects happening to the various communities that embrace it.
In New York, 76.5 percent of full-service restaurant respondents reduced employee hours, and 36 percent eliminated jobs in 2018 after a $15 minimum wage was instituted according to a survey that was taken last April.

Even without these examples, we’d still have the ridiculous things being presented to us by socialists like AOC in the form of the Green New Deal, which was so ludicrous that even Democrats would denounce it. Those who didn’t and claimed to stand behind it wouldn’t even vote for it when push came to shove.
Socialism in America is like a bad joke that has gone on for too long. We’re over it as a country, and the mass turn to Donald Trump, even when it comes to major corporations and business owners, shows just how sick of the nonsense we are.

Imagine being able to tell them that very clearly in 2020 as we re-elect Donald Trump to the White House and hold the Senate and retake the House.
I want all of that to happen while Sanders and his socialist backers are at full power because I want everyone to watch them fail under the might of the free people of the United States of America.
