Nancy Pelosi Knows Her Voters are Outrage Driven Saps, and Her Latest Fundraising Email Proves It

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., talks to reporters during her weekly news conference, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, June 7, 2018. After several questions about President Donald Trump and his policies, Pelosi responded: The President said he was going to drain the swamp. He has become the swamp. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

Another day, another example of Nancy Pelosi (D-Crazytown) knowingly trying to utilize outrage and ignorance in tandem to make money.

According to the Daily Caller, Pelosi decided to take advantage of the Russia hysterics and paint herself as the hero who will stop Putin from coming to the United States even though President Donald Trump invited him. In a fundraising email, Pelosi told Democratic voters that she will “NOT allow Putin to set foot in the United States.”

“I will NOT allow Putin to set foot in the United States. I need 100,000 signatures to BLOCK his visit and keep our elections safe. I need you to sign before midnight,” Pelosi wrote to voters in her email.

Pelosi then sent out a second and similar email on Thursday, this time asking for 50,000 signatures. This petition, promised Pelosi, would allow her to “BLOCK his visit and keep our elections safe.”

According to the Daily Caller, Pelosi managed to nab nearly 90,000 signatures with her promise in the first email:

By Sunday evening, the DCCC claimed to have garnered more than 88,000 signatures on the bogus petition.

The DCCC circulated a second misleading petition on Sunday as well.

That email claimed the DCCC needed 1.2 million signatures “before midnight to ensure protection for Robert Mueller,” and that “1,175,805 strong Democrats” had already signed.

The only problem with this is that no amount of signatures on a petition will halt Trump from doing anything. The way our governmental system works does not include executive decisions by fundraising email petitions.

Thing is, Pelosi and the rest of the DCCC know this. They also know a good portion of their voters don’t. They’re counting on their ignorance to get them to sign a completely useless petition.

The real reason for the petition? Signing your name takes you to a donation page which then asks the petition signer to give up a little of their cash.

So in a nutshell, the Democrat brass just sent out an email that purposefully misled its readers (their voters) in order to milk them for money because they know they don’t know any better. They are counting on the fact that their voters are overly-outraged saps that really think Pelosi can stop something from happening because they signed their name onto a fundraising email.

I’m sure we’ll see this talked about on the Daily Show soon.
