The Worst News Outlet of the Week - Who Dominated in Dysfunctional Coverage?

It has become more than apparent that the media complex in this country is intent on teaming up to use collective force to adversely impact President Trump. Take a look back at the past few months, and we see there is almost a weekly shift in the news cycle.

Last week, there was a chorus of outrage over the president calling a Democrat video “seditious” for imploring military members to ignore what they suggested were illegal orders in their ranks. All the outlets appeared to be on board with that story. But wait, what happened to the reports on the Epstein emails from two weeks ago that were said to be bringing down the president? Or the blame cast on Trump for the government shutdown the week before that?? And then there was the collective disgust over the White House ballroom…

Along with these hit-and-then-miss pieces, there was the case of the National Guard members ambushed and shot, with the press agreeing to blame Trump, and not the murderous shooter, and also a rash of debunked stories about the various administration names who were supposedly set to be fired.  It is time to pull on the hip waders once again and slog through this week’s media mayhem.

      THE CONTENDERS

MS NOW – On Morning Joe, an angered Scar-Joe tried to “prove” there were illegal orders given in the military; his proof was in Trump once saying what he “can do”. Jen Psaki and her guest suggested Nuremberg trials for following the non-existent illegal orders. The outlet sparked hysteria with a baseless claim that Kash Patel is about to be relieved of his services at the FBI. Ken Dilanian blamed the National Guard shooting on the soldiers being stationed in D.C.

Politifact – The truth detectors weighed in on the “illegal military orders” issue and brought in experts to contest claims by President Trump that it was seditious for the Democrats to suggest defying orders. They somewhat said he was wrong, though there was no ruling that it was FALSE. The site ruled JD Vance wrong for claiming that housing prices rose due to illegals, and then went on to declare he was accurate (“Experts agree that increased immigration leads to higher housing demand.”) It also maintained that his number of illegals in the country was inaccurate, but omitted a full year of arrivals, as it gave totals from 2023 to “prove” him wrong.

CNN – Natasha Bertrand claims Pete Hegseth did not deny the report on shooting drug cartel members, even as she posted his comment calling the story entirely fraudulent. The network tried to suggest that there will be shakeups at the DHS, but kept shifting on who might be fired. Wolf Blitzer was leaning into the “illegal orders” narrative, without any clear examples. We were told Afghans in America now live in fear after the National Guard shooting. After Brian Stelter had denied actual videos showing Joe Biden’s decline, he cites a NY Times piece suggesting Trump’s numerous appearances weekly as a sign of his decline is “almost clinical” and “data-driven.”

ABC NewsThe network announced that Pete Hegseth did not acknowledge the report on the drug boat killings, even though he had come out and declared the report “fraudulent” and “fake news.” They also tried to get in on the “illegal orders” issue, and managed to only look inept in the process. Aaron Katersky looked elsewhere to place blame for the National Guard shooting in D.C

      THE WINNER

THE WASHINGTON POST

After one week of wailing in the press over that Democrat “illegal orders” video, the paper put out a report that was designed to perfectly fit that narrative. Using anonymous sources, it claims that survivors of a hit on a drug cartel vessel in the ocean were murdered in a second strike by the military. The story was completely refuted by the Department of War and Secretary Hegseth himself.

The outlet fretted over the White House creating a webpage that was highlighting fraudulent news reports.

In a laughably desperate report, we get served a lesson that Americans should not want to see lower costs on food and energy.

In the latest environmental panic, there is the promise that climate change is causing “Deadly Rivers In the Sky”, moisture plumes causing wet catastrophes. (Meanwhile, there was not a single hurricane hitting the U.S. in 2025.)
