The Trump administration has released the transcript of its recent interview with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. Some had speculated her sudden contact with the Department of Justice signaled she had incriminating evidence that further exposed the grotesque operation she and Jeffrey Epstein had facilitated and participated in.
The short answer is that it didn't happen. According to reports of what is contained in the transcript, Maxwell provided nothing incriminating about anyone who had contact with Epstein over the years.
NEWS - Ghislaine Maxwell provided no incriminating information during meetings with deputy AG on high-profile individuals who interacted with Jeffrey Epstein -- sources tell me @JamesHillABC @AaronKatersky & @alex_mallin https://t.co/RMdGRXeOiH

The woman thought to have the most direct knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's decades-long sex-trafficking operation claims there was no client list, no blackmail scheme and -- to her knowledge -- no high-profile Epstein associates who committed illicit acts in connection with the notorious sex-offender's crimes.
That's according to an account provided by Epstein's convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell to a top official of the U.S. Department of Justice during a highly unusual two-day interview session last month, sources briefed on the contents of the discussions told ABC News.
Maxwell told Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that during her time with Epstein -- which ranged from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s -- she never witnessed nor heard of any inappropriate or criminal activity by President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, nor any of the well-known men who associated with Epstein, according to the sources.
Maxwell further denied the existence of any client list, which has been a long-standing point of contention involving Epstein. Not that most thought there was a literal black book full of clients (that would be a really stupid thing for a criminal to keep around), but a lot of people believed there were others involved in abusing the women trafficked by Maxwell and Epstein.
This likely represents the last word on the matter for the Trump administration. The president himself has been insisting for months that there's no there, there, and that the entire obsession with Epstein is a hoax. When asked about the upcoming release of some Epstein-related files by Congress on Friday, he again reiterated that position.

Maxwell was moved to a more comfortable prison after she spoke to the DOJ. I don't think there's much justification to keep her there now. If she truly has nothing to offer, then she should be shipped back to where she came from to serve out her sentence in the worst conditions possible. She's a disgusting person who did horrific things to innocent women. She hasn't earned special treatment, and this development should certainly quash any talk of a pardon or commutation.
