Gretchen Whitmer Finally Explains Her OnlyFans-Esque Chip-Feeding Video, and It Makes No Sense At All

When a video emerged of Gretchen Whitmer feeding a woman on her knees Doritos, reactions ranged from perplexed to outraged. Was this some kind of tease for Whitmer opening an "OnlyFans" account? That assumption wasn't out of bounds given the sexual nature in which the other woman presented herself.

Others thought it was meant to sexualize and mock the Catholic Church and the Eucharist. Given how the video was shot, that wasn't crazy to think either. It wouldn't be the first time a far-left Democrat insulted Christians.

So what's the real story? Days later, Whitmer has finally provided one, and let's just say it's less than convincing.

Over 25 years in public service, I would never do something to denigrate someone’s faith,” the statement said. “I’ve used my platform to stand up for people’s right to hold and practice their personal religious beliefs. My team has spoken to the Michigan Catholic Conference. What was supposed to be a video about the importance of the CHIPS Act to Michigan jobs, has been construed as something it was never intended to be, and I apologize for that.

Let me get this straight. Whitmer thought that feeding a woman on her knees Doritos, mimicking some kind of sexual fetish, would be an obvious promotion of...the CHIPS Act? That was the math done before shooting this video? I mean, come on. I've heard some ridiculous excuses before, but that makes no sense whatsoever.

So what really happened here? I'm going to give Whitmer the benefit of the doubt (even though she doesn't deserve it) that she wasn't actively trying to mock Catholics. I don't think that explanation makes a lot of sense given she would have nothing to gain in doing so. Don't get me wrong, I put nothing past the Democratic Party, but that would be a special kind of stupid.

I assume she was trying to copy a current TikTok trend of people feeding others different kinds of foods. If that was the intention, why not just admit that instead of coming up with some ridiculous line about the CHIPS Act that no one is going to buy?

There's also a lesson here for politicians trying to be "cool." Whitmer has been releasing various videos for several months now that follow these Gen-Z trends. I don't know if she's doing it to raise her profile for a future presidential run, but it's only made her seem like a colossal weirdo.

Most politicians just aren't cool, and when they act like they are, it comes across as cringe and unrelatable. Remember, this is the same woman who called JD Vance weird. Does it get any weirder than what's in Whitmer's video? I'd suggest not.
