Amidst all the backlash surrounding Joe Biden's declaration of Easter Sunday as "transgender day of visibility," a new question has arisen. Does the president even know he did it?
On Monday, Biden left reporters perplexed, denying that he even made the controversial and insulting declaration. Of course, the White House letterhead on which the statement was printed begs to differ.

"Now, therefore, I, Joseph R. Biden" (in all caps) isn't exactly ambiguous, but perhaps there's a more disturbing explanation. What if the president was telling the truth? That was a possibility raised by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as he ripped Biden for disrespecting Christians across the globe for cheap political clout.

DESANTIS: He said that didn't happen. He said he didn't do it. Which raises the question: Either he's not being honest with the public, or he really didn't know what was going on. So my question would be: "Who's running the presidency?"
Is it a bunch of woke, 20-something White House staffers that just put out this drivel whenever they want? So I don't know who's in charge, the fact that he's not owning up to it, either way it's bad. Either he's not being honest or he really didn't have anything to do with it.
I'm going to take the road less traveled and actually give Biden the benefit of the doubt here. I don't think he had any idea that this declaration was made in his name. Why would he? That would mean he's actually in charge of the administration that bears his name, and it's painfully obvious that he's not.
This is a man who's doing well to know what day it is. He can't remember the names of his own cabinet members at times. Does anyone really think he's signing off on various statements that are being put out by his comms department?
No, I think this was yet another decision made by Biden's cadre of handlers who are pulling all the levers behind the scenes. Some radical staffers decided to troll Christians by putting out the completely unnecessary declaration of Easter Sunday as "transgender day of visibility." Biden is just along for the ride, and Karine Jean-Pierre probably didn't even bother to brief him on what had transpired. Either that, or she did and he forgot. Does it matter at this point?
Don't get me wrong, though. I'm not suggesting Biden doesn't support the declaration. He's a true-blue, pro-LGBTQ plus, minus, double-slash, hyphen believer. It's more of a sign of his mental state that he almost certainly wasn't directly involved in this.
