Gavin Newsom has destroyed another California business. The victim this time is Oakland's first In-N-Out Burger location. The iconic and nationally lauded chain restaurant was started in The Golden State, but the effects of the current governance have proven too difficult to overcome. 

According to the company's official social media account, the decision was made due to "high crime activity" in the area, with a specific mention of car break-ins being a problem.

Customers aren't going to show up at a restaurant where they are going to have their windows smashed in broad daylight. It's just not sustainable for a business, and despite In-N-Out's commitment to California, the realities of any given situation will always win out.

But while his state continues to burn to the ground, Newsom continues to play tough guy on the internet.

I'll have more to say on DeSantis' exit in the near future, but let me point out something to Newsom, who has become terminally online to the detriment of his state. Florida is still one of the best-run states in the union, and that's what DeSantis gets to go home to. He'll still be wildly successful. He'll still have a wife he didn't cheat on. He'll still be governor for three more years, and shock of shocks, he's already leading the polling for the 2028 nomination.

What's Newsom's future? After that skull dragging he took debating DeSantis, the answer is unclear. He was too much of a coward to actually run for president, and it's clear he's nothing but hair gel and whitened teeth. When it comes to his record and the ability to defend that record, he's a total failure, and the country knows he's a total failure. No amount of MSNBC love will change that.

So he can get his dunks in if he'd like, but the results speak for themselves. When your state's most iconic restaurant chain is having to close locations due to out-of-control crime, maybe focus on that instead of sniping on social media. Because you know what you can do in Florida? Park your car at a burger joint without having a high probability of losing your window and valuables.
