A Seattle-based student learned the hard way that biology need not apply once a school district has gone woke. According to Jason Rantz, who spoke to the student's mother, the 10th-grader failed a quiz as part of an Ethnic Studies World History course because he acknowledged biological reality.

Two of the questions revolved around whether men can get pregnant and whether only men have penises. The student gave the technically correct answers but the teacher gave a failing grade because those answers ran counter to modern woke ideology surrounding gender.

Many of the questions focused on personal pronoun use (When someone uses ‘they/them’ pronouns, what does that mean about their gender identity?” or assumptions one may make around gender identity. (“True/false: Transgender people are gay.”) Two questions, however, are objectively false, but students are taught the opposite.

Question 4 was a true or false question with the statement, “All men have penises.” The student labeled the statement “true” since it is, in fact, true. But the teacher penalized the answer, marking it incorrect. The teacher claims women can have a penis.

Similarly, Question 7 was a true or false question with the statement, “Only women can get pregnant.” Again, the student marked the statement “true” because only women can get pregnant. Again, the teacher penalized the student, insisting the answer is false. The teacher believes men can get pregnant.

In other words, there are schools in the United States of America that are handing out failing grades to students because they refuse to affirm the false idea that a man can become pregnant. The student's mother expressed astonishment that such treatment is even legal in public schools, and I'd certainly like to see the theory that it is tested in a court of law.

But if anyone thought this was just one rogue teacher, think again. The school district put out a statement showing support for the quiz and doubled down with a bunch of diversity and inclusion word vomit. 

“Seattle Public Schools is dedicated to establishing inclusive environments that allow exploration of contemporary issues, specifically examining the impacts of power systems such as racism and patriarchy,” the spokesperson said to the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH. “This commitment extends to fostering welcoming and inclusive settings where students, staff, and families have the freedom to express their authentic selves.”

The spokesperson said the quiz was in line with state and local guidelines covering such topics. But it’s not clear how this unscientific lesson around gender identity was connected to world history.

Talk about a district that has lost its way. I shudder to think of what the make-up of that school board looks like, ideologically speaking. To take the side of the teacher in that situation is insane, but the district didn't even blink an eye in releasing a statement more worried about hitting all the far-left buzzwords than protecting students from improper indoctrination, including punishing them if they don't abide.

As Rantz questions in his write-up, why is a world history class giving students a test on pronoun usage and whether men can get pregnant? What possible legitimate connection to the subject matter could exist? Further, how is it legal to fail a student for believing in objective biological reality? 

Every day, I wake up to some fresh absurdity foisted on the world by the far left. That this is specifically targeting children only makes matters worse. When will sanity prevail? Will it prevail?
