Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who I’m assured is very concerned about democracy, called to undermine the US system of government on Friday evening. While appearing with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, the far-left congresswoman said that the Biden administration should outright ignore a recent federal court ruling staying FDA approval of an abortion drug.

The decision, which also came down on Friday evening, set the left into an apoplectic rage. Democrat politicians and commentators alike slammed the judge, suggesting that he was illegitimate and that unborn babies are not, in fact, human.

It is beyond outrageous — the height of judicial arrogance — for a federal judge to repeatedly refer to abortion as "the killing of the unborn human," as Kacsmaryk does. It takes sides in a deeply religious debate w/ a position that if true would make all abortions homicides.

I’d love for Harry Litman, who writes for the Los Angeles Times, to let us all know what unborn babies actually are if they aren’t biologically human. He would go on to make another post arguing that accepting scientifical reality is actually just a religious view and that it’s no different than arguing for reincarnation. Think about it. A major columnist for a major newspaper believes that unborn babies are not human. It’d be hilarious if it weren’t so insane and dangerous.

Then there’s Sen. Ron Wyden outright calling for the Biden administration to ignore the ruling. He claims the ruling has no “basis in law,” but I’ve got news for him. Even assuming that’s true (it’s not), Democrat judges constantly rule based on political preference and not the letter of the law. Was Wyden supportive of the Trump administration ignoring the insane immigration rulings that came out of a Hawaii-based federal court? Of course, he wasn’t.

Anyway, moving on to Ocasio-Cortez, she also wants the FDA, directed by the Biden administration, to outright ignore the decision by a federal court.

It is beyond debate that if a Republican said that on Fox News, every major publication in the nation would be scrambling to write condemnations while labeling it an insurrection. Yet, Ocasio-Cortez says it, and Anderson Cooper nods along like a hungry seal. Others also shrugged at the suggestion, as if it weren’t tyrannical in nature.

Abby Phillip is a senior political correspondent for CNN, and she’s parroting Ocasio-Cortez’s as if it’s not a call to undermine the foundation of US governance. In fact, as of this writing, the entire press is shrugging about it. Why? Because they don’t actually care about upholding American institutions. All they care about is raw political power, and nothing gets them going more than limiting the killing of unborn babies. Blood drips from their teeth at the mere suggestion that life in the womb is respected. That’s what the Democratic Party, which used to promote “safe, legal, and rare,” has become. It’s now a death cult.

But hey, let’s see Democrats break yet another precedent in their short-sighted attempt to cement political power. Perhaps they need to learn the same lesson again that cost them the Supreme Court for a generation, after they nuked the judicial filibuster. Rest assured, if they go through with this and ignore a federal court ruling, Republicans will play for keeps in response.
