New York Learns What Consequences Are After Illegal Immigrants Occupy a Hotel

Who says there’s no justice in politics? Alright, I say that, but there are occasionally some exceptions.

New York is currently learning the hard way that actions have consequences after a large group of illegal immigrants occupied a hotel, causing the city’s government and residents to decry the situation. Per Fox News, the illegal immigrants were scheduled to be relocated to a new “migrant relief center” but refused to vacate the free rooms they were given. An encampment was also set up outside the hotel’s lobby.

A group of illegal migrants who entered into the U.S. through the southern border, are refusing to leave their free NYC hotel rooms for a migrant shelter in Brooklyn, New York, sleeping in the street to protest. The migrants were initially placed at the Watson Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, but their schedule for relocation to a new migrant relief center, the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, caused uproar late Sunday night.

There are several cities that deserve everything they are getting in regard to what the left calls the “migrant crisis,” and New York is at or near the top of the list. The city designated itself a “sanctuary city” years ago, something its politicians and residents were keen to brag about when it had no real effect on their lives. Now that illegal immigrants are beginning to overwhelm the system, though, it’s suddenly a problem.

Here’s Mayor Eric Adams doing his best to straddle the fence.

Oh, it’s a “national problem,” is it? That’s weird because that wasn’t the line from Democrats when it was just El Paso and Yuma being absolutely wrecked by the illegal immigration wave on the Southern border. But send a few thousand illegal immigrants to New York, and suddenly, we need a “national solution.” How very, very convenient.

So what is Adams’ solution? Is it to actually secure the border? Or is it to just stop illegal immigrants from coming to his city? I think we know the answer to that given he’s continued to praise Joe Biden’s border policies.

With all due respect, Adams can pound sand. The border crisis exists because of his party’s refusal to do anything about the human trafficking going on. Why? Because politicians like Adams saw it as politically advantageous. As far as I’m concerned, New York shouldn’t just be sent a few thousand illegal immigrants. They should be sent a few hundred thousand. Make them actually have to live with the repercussions of their decisions, and maybe they’ll learn something.
