Biden's COVID Bill Includes a Provision That Will Have You Fuming

I’ll open then article with a fair warning that what you are about to read may cause you to throw things against the wall.

Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID “relief” bill is currently on the rocks, with even Mitt Romney saying he’s a no go. Now, we are starting to learn more about what’s actually in this monstrosity that is ostensibly supposed to provide help to Americans in need. You’ll be less than shocked to learn that only a fraction of the spending goes to direct assistance to normal workers. The bill is full of big, democrat payoffs, as Rep. Kevin McCarthy pointed out yesterday.

But there’s another provision that is making waves, and it will probably leave you absolutely fuming. Did you know that while you get a paltry $1400 on time payment, your tax dollars will go to $1400 a week payments for up to 15 weeks for federal employees? It’s good to be a government apparatchik, apparently.

All you regular peons out there who live in school districts that are still closed are on your own. Biden isn’t going to lift a finger to push them to open because he’s scared of the teachers unions. You just have to figure things out. But if you work for Biden’s federal government, the payoff is massive. You get paid at $5600 a month for a third of a year to just chill and start up your kid’s zoom sessions. That’s well above the average income in the private sector, mind you. I’m not sure there’s been a bigger show of elitism in Washington in the past decade, and there’s been a lot of shows of elitism.

Sure, some federal employees actually do good and necessary work, though the bloat in agencies is absolutely out of control. Regardless, there’s no excuse for setting up such a divide between normal Americans and government workers. This is made even worse by the fact that it is those normal Americans who will be paying for said government workers to sit at home. If that’s not a completely screwed up dynamic, I’m not sure what is.

We don’t live in feudal England. There aren’t lords and serfs in this country, or at least there shouldn’t be. Further, there’s no justification to allow passage of this under the reconciliation process with 50 votes plus Kamala Harris’ tie breaker. This is all new spending that will clearly add to the deficit for many years.

Hopefully, we don’t even have to worry about that and Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema see to it that this bill is blown up with prejudice.
