As I shared this morning, CNN took the prize for immediately diving face first in the gutter over Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis. Don Lemon was the biggest culprit, trying to take a victory lap over hydroxychloroquine and Biden staying in his basement (see CNN Immediately Dives Into the Gutter Over Trump’s COVID Diagnosis)

But it was just a matter of time before things got even more insane. Now, there’s a conspiracy theory floating around that Trump is lying in order to garner sympathy and change the subject from his tax returns.

These are the kinds of quacks that Twitter verifies. It’s also the kind of person that Democrats and the media bandy about as “experts.”

While Trump is a ruthless politician, as he should be, this is not something he’s going to lie about, and any amount of critical thinking would show how insanely stupid this suggestion is. Getting the virus does not help the President. If anything, it takes one of his worst topics and puts it back at the forefront, i.e. his response to the pandemic. This also stops him from campaigning, which is his strongest suit against Joe Biden. Lastly, it does provide the impression for those that want to accept it that Biden made the right choice by hiding out in his basement.

While none of that may be fair or true, it’s the kind of fodder that gets thrown out there the moment it’s announced Trump has the coronavirus. He would never willingly thrust himself into that situation via lying about a diagnosis. It’s idiotic on so many levels.

But this is what happens when you have a media that constantly overplays their hand when it comes to the President’s honesty. He can literally say the sky is blue and they will claim it’s actually a shade of aqua. Ridiculous claims of 20,000+ lies (almost all of which aren’t actually that) and such only play into nonsense like this from this doctor. Social media is going to be insane today. My best advice is to stay away.
