It’s over.
The DNC and the party leadership have prevailed, denying Bernie Sanders’ second attempt to take the Democrat nomination for president. Sanders has suspended his campaign and will be speaking shortly.

The next question is how Sanders handles what happened to him. Was he “cheated?” No, but there’s no doubt the entire machinery of the Democrat party colluded to take him down in a race he was likely going to otherwise win. Will Sanders play nice and endorse Biden? Or will he play it coy and let his supporters vent their rage? Because that rage is coming.
In most polls, large numbers of Sanders supporters say they will not vote for Biden. It could decide the race in 2020, which is likely why the former VP is going full Green New Deal during the Wuhan virus pandemic. Biden will have to play this very carefully, because if he pursues the crazy left too much, he’ll end up turning off blue-collar and independent voters. It’s a line he may not be able to straddle.
Regardless, it’s now a two-man race for the presidency. Expect Trump to start opening up the guns more and more as we come out the other side of the current crisis.
