Doesn’t this kind of undercut the idea that Joe Biden did nothing wrong and that the criticism against him was silly? The dude’s own wife is throwing him under the bus to pander to the left-wing base.

Former second lady Jill Biden on Wednesday praised the “courage” of women who spoke out about being uncomfortable after being touched by her husband, former Vice President Joe Biden. 

“It took a lot of courage for women to step forward and say, you know, you’re in my space, and Joe heard that,” Biden said while appearing on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.”

Jill Biden ends by assuring listeners that it won’t happen again (even though it literally just happened again with a 10 year old girl a few days ago).

“It just won’t happen again, he heard what they were saying,” Jill Biden said on Comedy Central.

Here’s the thing.

Joe and Jill Biden can’t have it both ways. If these abuses took “courage” to come forward about, then it’s serious enough to be disqualifying. On the other hand, if it’s just nonsense that Biden can hand wave away, then it took no courage to report. Pick one.

It must be really mind-numbing to have to dance around like this, but it’s what the Democrat party demands. They took legitimate abuses under the banner of the #metoo movement (i.e. Harvey Weinstein, etc.) and turned it into an all encompassing, illiberal tool of accusation. Now they are paying the price for that. And frankly, that’s a good thing.

The real question is what happens when Biden’s stammering, old self gets on a debate stage and is pressed on this by Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren? If he thinks this issue is over, he’s incredibly naive. We haven’t heard the last of this.
