When Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was trotted out on stage as Kamala Harris’ running mate in the 2024 presidential election, he promptly proved to the world that he was a cartoonish gaffe machine who came with a trolley car's worth of political baggage. Did Kamala’s team even bother to vet him?
Turns out he let Minneapolis burn during the George Floyd Riots (his wife Gwen reported she left the windows open so she could "smell the burning tires"), he was an extremist on gender ideology to the point where he earned the name “Tampon Tim” for insisting that feminine products be put in boys’ restrooms, he couldn’t figure out how to load a gun, he had a DUI on his record, and he allegedly made false “stolen valor” claims about his service record.
That’s just a partial list for Coach Jazz Hands, mind you.
Now he’s looking back at the trainwreck and realizing it might have cost him.
Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz admitted that his 2024 bid for vice president might have hurt him with voters in his home state as he weighs seeking another term as governor.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported Friday that Walz acknowledged in an interview his bid alongside former Vice President Kamala Harris might have hurt him with voters in Minnesota.
"People get tired of it," Walz said. "I get tired of myself at times."
You’re not the only one, Coach.

Even Weird Walz seems to realize it’s time to get off the stage.
The former Democratic vice presidential nominee said he understands voters' desire for "something new."
Walz said returning to Minnesota after running on the national stage could be seen as appearing "too big for your britches."
The Journal spoke to a couple at the Minnesota State Fair who had mixed feelings about Walz running for governor again.
"He should not run for a third term," Cindy Jurgensen, a Democrat, told the WSJ. "It’s time for a change."
As if to bring home the point, Walz spewed bile at the DNC summer meeting on Monday and reminded everyone of just how bitter and far off the reservation he is. Our Nick Arama reported:
Then, too, you can always count on Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) for some absolutely nutty remarks.
Warning for graphic language in the following videos:
Tim Walz fantasizes about what America would look like if Kamala won in 2024: “We wouldn’t wake up to a bunch of s*** on TV. We would wake up to an adult with compassion and dignity and vision and leadership doing the work.”

There was a moment when Walz seemed to be seriously thinking of a 2028 presidential run. That talk seems to have died down, and now even he realizes he might face a tough battle just to get reelected in his own far-left state.
I hope he sticks around, though, because he’s great for conservatives. He’s a constant reminder of how far out of touch the Democrat party has gotten, how silly some of their “leaders” are, and how they should never be handed the reins of power again.
The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject their extremist agenda.
