Hollywood actor George Clooney took to the embattled CBS show “60 Minutes” on Sunday to pimp his upcoming Broadway play and to try to salvage his tattered reputation. The thespian raised controversy in 2024 when has hosted a glitzy fundraiser for President Joe Biden, all the while promising us all that Joe was just fine, only to turn around and write an op-ed for the New York Times saying that Biden was mentally unfit and a new Democrat candidate for president was needed.

That was the beginning of the tsunami of calls for the then-president to step down from his reelection campaign, which he finally did with Nancy Pelosi’s knife sticking out of his back.

Now Brutus Clooney is trying to explain his betrayal:

The actor was asked point-blank about his decision to publish a damning op-ed in the New York Times over the summer entitled 'I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee' - and whether he would still write the essay if he had known Trump would win against Harris.

'Yeah, I'll make it kinda easy,' said Clooney, a lifelong Democrat and the son of a journalist.

'I was raised to tell the truth.'

He explained that he saw Biden at a Hollywood fundraiser in June 2024 'and I was surprised'. 

'I feel as if there was a lot of profiles and cowardice in my party through all of that, and I was not proud of that and also I believed I had to tell the truth,' Clooney said.

He reaffirmed that 'I've always liked Joe Biden and I like him still,' but said that his obvious incapacities made it impossible to defend his record.

He was raised to “tell the truth”; oh what noble man. Except the truth was evident, as RedState and other outlets relentlessly reported, but people like Clooney and virtually the entire mainstream press lied about it for years despite the copious evidence that Biden was compromised. It’s rich that George now thinks he can come across as some sort of saint. You all lied, you were caught, and you’ve been exposed; trite little observations aren’t enough to salvage your reputation.

Why would the now highly discredited 60 Minutes be doing a total “puff piece” on George Clooney, a second rate movie “star,” and failed political pundit. He fought hard for Sleepy Joe’s election and then, right after the Debate, dumped him like a dog. Later, I assume under orders from the Obama camp, pushed all out for “Kamala,” only to soon realize that that was not going to work out to well. 60 Minutes even fraudulently inserted Fake answers into her disastrous interview, aired just before Election Day, in one of the most embarrassing and dishonest events in broadcast history…And now George Clooney again? His press agent should be making a fortune!!!

The thoroughly disgraced “60 Minutes” doing a puff piece on a manipulative, dishonest actor… It’s like a bad TV movie script. It’s going to take a lot more than this for Clooney and fellow Democrats to regain a shred of credibility after what they helped do to this country for four years—and wanted to put us through for four more.
